Revdex.com responseMr. [redacted] brought his boat in Sunday, June 25, 2017 for repairs. With the 4th of July holiday during the week, his boat was ready on July 6, 2017. He didn't pick it up until Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He called every day checking on it, so we didn't have to call him to let him...

know that it was ready. He was in need of it for the weekend of POLCO in Port O'Conner, Tx. So we put him ahead of 20 plus other service boats to get him ready. The requested service included lower unit oil change, replacing sparkplugs, engine oil and filter change, change of main fuel filter on engine, replace the filter on top of vapor separator which requires the air induction to be removed, the gearcase had to be removed in order to replace the water pump. To do this we had to remove the compression plate which was secured by bolts and a lot of silicone. The bolts on the midsection were completely corroded/frozen up and had to be heated individually to get loose. One of these bolts twisted off and had to be extracted once the gearcase was removed. The water pump was then replaced. The gearcase was sanded and painted and gearcase was installed back on the engine. We then reinstalled the compression plate and resiliconed it back on engine. It appears the gearcase had not been removed in quit awhile, maybe never to replace the water pump. I spent several hours searching for an electrical problem. Found bad connection, lose wires on fuse block which keep the stereo, powerpole, and GPS from getting proper voltage. with all the sea grass that was hung up and wedge in the compression plate it appears that he does not wash/flush his engine to remove the salt. Myself and 2 other mechanics worked on this boat. Customer states we installed water pump incorrectly. There's only one way a water pump can be installed. The engine was tested and ran in the test tank before he picked it up. So it was running perfectly fine here. My guess is that after the customer picked his boat up he ran the engine without water and burnt the water pump up. Also we do warranty our work but didn't bring it back to our store nor did he call on July 11th, 12th, or 13th. Mr. [redacted] has already tried to blast our business on social media and we have receive a letter form a lawyer. Kresta's Boats and Motors has been in business for 49 years and we stand behind our work. I have been in this business since I was 8 years old and I'm 57 now. We don't try to cheat or take advantage of any customer but I will and do charge for the work preformed. We did the job the customer requested. If he had a problem with our work, he should have brought it back to our dealership. Like I said we warranty and stand behind our work not the work of another dealer or boat shop.Sincerly,[redacted]
