The coat was brought to the cleaners on January 10th to be cleaned and was picked up January 14thOn January 19th the coat was returned because the customer was unhappy with the coatI called the customer January 20thThe customer was mad about the condition of the coatWe discussed it and I recommended a tailor to re-sew the three places where the stitching had come outThe first picture shows where the stitching has come undone where the sleeve meets the front of the coatThis has occurred on both sleevesOne sleeve also has a broken thread at the cuff that held a pleat in placeThe second picture shows the pilling and wear on the cuffThe third picture shows pilling and wear under the arms of the coat. The coat was dry cleaned according to the labelThe broken threads and the pilling on the cuffs and underarms were not caused by dry cleaning.I am willing to share the expense of having the three places mended

I am sorry the customer is not satisfied with our offerThe coat needs to be mended where three threads have brokenWe offered to share the expense of re-sewing these places even though the integrity of stitching of a garment is not our responsibilityIt is our practice to always try to satisfy every customer, so our offer to share the expense of having the coat mended is still open. The color of the coat matches the buttons and is as white as possible except at the cuffs where some of the pilling has picked up extra dirtThis is common on cuffs. The pilling under the arms is from the arms rubbing against the body of the coat when it was worn and not our responsibility at all.The fact that the stitching where the sleeves attach to the coat is undone in the exact location on both sleeves suggests the sewing may have been incomplete in those spotsThis is not our responsibility, but to satisfy our customer our offer to share in the expense to have this mended remains open

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The coat us still in fact discolored  (not just along the cuffs). It is tinted a light gray instead of being white! And I should not have to pay for any of the sewing seeing as the holes did not form while the coat was in my posession. I stand firm with what I think should be done.

I do not believe that this is satisfactory. She never offered to fix the situation until I got the Revdex.com involved. The coat cannot possibly pill after only 3 wears. The coat was in practically brand new condition (there was one black spot on the jacket when I bought it at the department store and they gave me a small discount for that) prior to it being brought in. The coat was disgustingly dirty, rips and the cuff was messed up along with the pilling. To go in half on sewing a couple of holes does not fix the coat all the way. It was winter white before it was dropped off at the establishment in question and now has a grey tint. So even if the sewing is done (which I will not pay half on due to the fact that the coat was ruined while in their possession) that only fixes half of the problem. And whoever sews it back together shall be of my choosing. Not the business choice. that destroyed a piece of my wardrobe. I have pictures of the before and after but unfortunately, they are on my phone and I was not able to send my response via my phone. It is my opinion that the coat is going to be stained the gray hue. I did not want a gray toned coat I wanted a winter white coat. I believe that there should be some type of compensation to replace the coat itself. At least half of the cost of the coat so that I can purchase another one. That coat was more than just a coat to me. It was fairly expensive to me and I saved for that coat and now it is ruined.

recommended a tailor to re-sew the three places where the stitching had come out. The first picture shows where the stitching has come undone where the sleeve meets the front of the coat. This has occurred on both sleeves. One sleeve also has a broken thread at the cuff that held a pleat in place. The second picture shows the pilling and wear on the cuff. The third picture shows pilling and wear under the arms of the coat. The coat was dry cleaned according to the label.
