Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I have been a loyal customer of Metro Toyota and always have purchased all my Toyota's from there. The matter of the fact is I did not want to purchase extended warranty as I trade my vehicles every 3-5 years and the main reason I purchased it was because the Finance Manager informed me that if I do not use the warranty I would get a FULL refund back. By no means he mentioned or disclosed that if I trade the vehicle I get pro-rated amount back. The point of the matter is that it was a bait and switch where not Metro Toyota does not want to honor his mistake of non-disclosure of the warranty and terms and conditions. As a loyal Toyota customer this is not what I expect from a Dealership especially whom I have done plenty of both New Car business and service. I cannot go back to the Finance Manager at Metro Toyota as he is no longer with the company per website and speaking with another finance manager. It is very disappointing that Metro Toyota does not want to honor their misinformative mistake on the extended warranty that was made by the Finance Manager. He sold it and made his commission that day thinking the customer would forget all about his refund after couple years.
Regards,

The recall or Campaign called “BXD” has specific instructions and deals specifically with the rear crossmember of the Tundra. As such we have to follow those Toyota guidelines when performing that Campaign. The area of inspection does NOT include the forward sections of the frame (in this...

case the worst corrosion is where the front bumper mounts to the frame). The areas of the frame that Toyota's guidelines specify to be sprayed after the replacement of the crossmember as was done on the Tundra in this case are specific only to the rear area of the frame. The additional areas that were sprayed over could slow the corrosion process as a bonus in those unrelated areas.. This Tundra was purchased by the current owner around April of 2015. The Campaign or recall that relates to the balance of the frame (i.e. the front sections) was an inspection completed in 2010 by another Toyota facility, and at that time it passed their inspection. We at Metro Toyota have attempted to help the current owner with Toyota corporate to present his concerns about the condition of his frame, however their obligations were satisfied with the inspection in 2010. Thank you for your time in this matter.

We are sorry to hear of your complaint.  According to the agreement, in order to receive a refund on the warranty, you must keep the vehicle until the warranty has expired.  Once expired, you have 30 days to file a claim for refund.  If the vehicle is sold, traded, or totaled...

prior to the expiration date of the contract, customer would receive a prorated amount of the amount paid for the warranty.  The warranty purchased is not due to expire until August 30, 2019.We hope that this makes everything clear.

The customer ordered a special vehicle that has been sitting here for over a month.  The vehicle is not a regular Camry, it has every single option possible on it and will be very difficult to sell.  The customer ordered the car and wanted to back out after almost 2 months while Japan was...

in the middle of building it.  It is a non-refundable deposit on special orders.

The cost of the warranty is fully refundable if and only if it is taken to term which is 84 months from the time of purchase or August 30, 2019 and the vehicle is still titled to its original owner.  That is the agreement that was made with the insurance company and with you at the time of delivery.  If at any time prior to that the warranty is canceled, you would receive prorated portion of what was paid for the warranty. If you can indicate to us otherwise, we would be willing to assist.  If you would like, bring in all of your paperwork and we would be happy to go over it with you.
