I am rejecting this response because: to claim that towed in is written on the form when the vehicle was driven in is nonsenseIt was never written on any other repair forms when I brought the vehicle in for repairIt is just an excuse to justify "doctoring" documentsThe response is as aa the fact that my car was "towed in." And if gas was leaking and it was repaired as claimed, why was I charged again to repair a gas leak? RRAS is just making excuses for not wanting to honor the warranty when I brought the car back complaining of still smelling the exhaust fumesIf they were a reputable auto repair service, when I brought the car back, after having paid more than $2,plus they would have found the source and repaired in under warrantyInstead they just found another way of extracting another $1,plus from meAnd when I brought the car back after only two weeks, obviously still under warranty, saying all the fluids that I just paid more than $1,to repair were still leaking, any reputable auto service station would have honored the warranty and repaired the leaks, especially since they came from the same source as what I had already paid forBut instead, RRAS tried to extract another $plus to fix the problem which was still under warranty. RRAS has shown by their Modus operandus that if a customer brings back a car under warranty that instead of honoring the warranty, they just find more problems with the car to get more money from youSince it will cost me around $1,to get all the problems that should have been covered under warranty as they relate to what I paid RRAS to repair, RRAS owes me $1,700 for failure to honor their warranties and for trying to extract more and more money from me. If they truly wanted to work with me, they would have honored the warranties, and instead of trying to extract more and more money, would have repaired my car when I brought in it. And they would not have claimed my car was towed in when I drove it in. They only thing RRAS excels in is trying to lie their way out of ripping-off customers

On October 14, 2015 [redacted]'s [redacted] was towed in. She wrote on the Authorization for service form “check for gas leak-check muffler”. There was no complaint of fumes. The technician found that the vehicle was leaking gasoline and that the rear muffler was physically broken. We replaced the...

exhaust resonator, muffler and tailpipe. We also replaced all the fuel lines on the vehicle, one was leaking but the rest were badly rusted. These repairs were required and performed competently. On June 13 the vehicle was brought back for “transmission fluid leaking and smell exhaust fumes sometimes”. The technician examined the vehicle and found that the exhaust System was ok. He noted leaks from the transmission output shaft seal, the valve cover gaskets and the power steering pressure switch. The repairs were performed, the undercarriage was degreased and the vehicle was rechecked for leaks but no additional leaks were noted at that time.We also informed the customer that the air conditioner should be serviced and changed over to the new refrigerant r134a. We also informed her that the serpentine belt, the belt idler & tensioner needed replacement. These additional repairs were declined. The vehicle was brought back on June 24 and the customer stated that the vehicle was still leaking fluid and that she still smelled fumes. The technician inspected the vehicle and noted some leakage from the front of the transmission. He also noted that the Serpentine belt was beginning to come off of the vehicle. We informed the customer and agreed to perform the repairs at half price. The repairs were authorized but after the service department was closed, the customer called our evening cashier and declined the repairs and picked up the vehicle. The original repair in October is completely unrelated to the repairs that were performed June. The customer states that the warranty was not honored; the warranty covers repairs that were made (the fuel lines and the rear exhaust section). The 2 complaints “gas leak & muffler were both repaired. The warranty does not and will not cover the other components of the exhaust system or the fuel system when they wear out. Nor does it cover unrelated repairs that the vehicle requires. The customer also stated in her letter that the problem was noted on October 30, 2015 but not brought to our attention until June 13, 2016. The vehicle was brought in and the battery was replaced on November 24, 2015. There was no mention of any problem with the previous work on the vehicle at that time.We repaired the obvious leaks on the second repair. The transmission did not have to be removed to repair the leak in the output shaft seal. The leak that was found on the third visit was from the front of the transmission. The repair of this leak requires that the entire transmission be removed. This was the reason for offering to perform the repair at half price. We also offered to replace the serpentine belt & tensioner at half price as an accommodation. Please feel free to contact me and discuss this matter.Sincerely,Bob T[redacted] General Manager — River Road Auto Service ###-###-#### (W)###-###-#### (C)

The response from the customer states that we “doctored” the authorization form for service. This is not true, we do write on the form to provide additional or helpful information to the technician. The form shows tow in, regardless of the vehicle being towed or not towed does not change any of the facts or problems noted with the vehicle. She also states that part of the form was crossed out and circled; this was the mechanic who was assigned to check out and repair the vehicle. This was not doctored, the vehicle was reassigned based on the required repair. The technician found that the vehicle was leaking gasoline and that the rear muffler was physically broken. We replaced the exhaust resonator, muffler and tailpipe. We also replaced all the fuel lines on the vehicle, one was leaking but the rest were badly rusted. These repairs were required and performed competently, -We do not use and have never installed stop leak to repair a vehicle. The repairs made were needed quoted and performed correctly. The serpentine belt tensioner is not holding the belt secure and the belt is beginning to come off of the vehicle. This has nothing to do with her complaints but is a problem and should be corrected. I have left phone messages for the customer to contact me to see if we can go over everything and come to an agreement, I haven’t received a response. -Please feel free to contact me and discuss this matter.Sincerely,Bob T[redacted]General Manager–River Road Auto Service ###-###-#### (W)
