Michael Russo JrPlumbing & Heating Company Reviews (1)

On October 14, [redacted] ***'s [redacted] was towed inShe wrote on the Authorization for service form “check for gas leak-check muffler”There was no complaint of fumes. The technician found that the vehicle was leaking gasoline and that the rear muffler was physically brokenWe replaced the exhaust resonator, muffler and tailpipeWe also replaced all the fuel lines on the vehicle, one was leaking but the rest were badly rustedThese repairs were required and performed competently. On June the vehicle was brought back for “transmission fluid leaking and smell exhaust fumes sometimes”The technician examined the vehicle and found that the exhaust System was okHe noted leaks from the transmission output shaft seal, the valve cover gaskets and the power steering pressure switchThe repairs were performed, the undercarriage was degreased and the vehicle was rechecked for leaks but no additional leaks were noted at that time.We also informed the customer that the air conditioner should be serviced and changed over to the new refrigerant r134aWe also informed her that the serpentine belt, the belt idler & tensioner needed replacementThese additional repairs were declined. The vehicle was brought back on June and the customer stated that the vehicle was still leaking fluid and that she still smelled fumesThe technician inspected the vehicle and noted some leakage from the front of the transmissionHe also noted that the Serpentine belt was beginning to come off of the vehicleWe informed the customer and agreed to perform the repairs at half priceThe repairs were authorized but after the service department was closed, the customer called our evening cashier and declined the repairs and picked up the vehicle. The original repair in October is completely unrelated to the repairs that were performed JuneThe customer states that the warranty was not honored; the warranty covers repairs that were made (the fuel lines and the rear exhaust section)The complaints “gas leak & muffler were both repairedThe warranty does not and will not cover the other components of the exhaust system or the fuel system when they wear outNor does it cover unrelated repairs that the vehicle requiresThe customer also stated in her letter that the problem was noted on October 30, but not brought to our attention until June 13, The vehicle was brought in and the battery was replaced on November 24, There was no mention of any problem with the previous work on the vehicle at that time.We repaired the obvious leaks on the second repairThe transmission did not have to be removed to repair the leak in the output shaft sealThe leak that was found on the third visit was from the front of the transmissionThe repair of this leak requires that the entire transmission be removedThis was the reason for offering to perform the repair at half priceWe also offered to replace the serpentine belt & tensioner at half price as an accommodation. Please feel free to contact me and discuss this matter.Sincerely,Bob T [redacted] General Manager — River Road Auto Service ###-###-#### (W)###-###-#### (C)
