Review: I had taekwondo pictures taken in May 2014. I was told that day that I could later view the pictures on their website, and that shipping would be $5. I later placed items in my cart and saw that shipping was $21. I called, and they did create a coupon code to subtract $16. About 5 weeks later, I had not received my order so I called. I was told that they forgot to print my pictures, but they said they would do it right away and get them mailed ASAP. 3 weeks later, the pictures still haven't arrived. I have left numerous messages and sent a couple of emails, but get absolutely no response.Desired Settlement: I would like to be contacted and I'd like my money back, including the price I paid for pictures, shipping and the $10 in sitting fees.

Review: Contract and payment made in February for rental of their photobooth at our wedding this last Sunday. Owner didn't call or show up to the event.

My complaint is in regards to the business I provided to owner of [redacted] Photography in Sacramento. I initially found [redacted] Photography in February 2013 as an Amazon.com deal of the day and my fiancé and I were looking for a photo booth rental for our wedding in October. I contacted [redacted] Photography directly because I wanted to know before I purchased the deal through Amazon.com if he would travel to South Lake Tahoe (that is where the wedding venue was located). He replied and told me that he could and to purchase directly through him and not Amazon.com. So he wrote me up a contract and within a week I mailed it back to him, signed with 50% of the payment (the total cost was $474, so he received the first check for $238 and the second check a few weeks later in March for $237 and both had been deposited shortly after).

After payment was made, I heard very little from [redacted] Photography as I continued to have questions about whether he had received my payment, photo booth sizes, and eventually I needed him to fill out and send the vendor insurance form to the wedding venue in Tahoe. Every time I contacted him, I either would get a response several weeks later or none at all. I became skeptical so I went to Yelp to read some reviews and there seemed to be no issues anyone had. The week before the wedding we faced possible government shutdown on our facility and were on CBS and KCRA for a story. I did not contact any vendors until I knew for sure the venue would be closed or not. Once we received the word the venue would be open, I contacted [redacted] Photography confirming the event on Sunday, October 13 at 2:30 pm at Valhalla in South Lake Tahoe and to contact me if he needed directions. I did not receive a response but then once again I emailed him Friday, October 11th providing my Coordinator with all the vendor names and contact information and included [redacted] Photography on the same email. Again on October 13th, my coordinator replied to the email with [redacted] Photography included confirming the directions to Valhalla.

The ceremony concluded about 2:45 pm; my husband and I took pictures and around 5:00 we noticed the photo booth was not there. Guests began to ask questions about our ambiguous signage and photo frames because the sign read "Please take a photo and include in our guest book" alongside the plastic photo frames. We explained that we rented a photo booth and he must have not shown and that was what the table was for. I quickly checked my phone for an email or phone call and neither had been made. We decided to ask our photographers who we only had for 3 hours to stay longer. We were charged 4 hours of overtime so they could capture the photos we had initially intended the photo booth to capture. We also had to pay for their hotel as they were forced to find lodging for the night since they were at the wedding reception so late.

The next day, I still did not receive a phone call from [redacted] Photography. I went again on Yelp and noticed the "filtered" reviews and one had mentioned that [redacted] Photography had done the same thing to him, only he didn't respond to his phone calls and emails and the customer never received a refund. There were several other complaints about his lack of response and lack to deliver photos he had taken for his customers.

It wasn't until my husband and I gave him negative reviews that he tied to call me and his message didn't include an excuse, apology or mention of a refund. He mentioned he called in response to the negative reviews. My attorney has advised me to not speak to him until she does.Desired Settlement: We are seeking a full refund for the following:

- payment for the photo booth rental

- payment for the photo booth signage

- payment for the plastic photo strips

- payment for the overtime we had to pay the 2 photographers

- payment to lodge the 2 photographers on the night of October 13th, 2013

Response:

The customers account of the events leading up to and after her wedding have changed a number of times. All of which have been documented.

To start, I would like to say that I have apologized to [redacted] and her husband numerous times. We provide over 300 photobooths a year, I take any complaint seriously and handle each of them personally. That said, I believe they are under the notion that I alone intentionally choose to steal their money. The truth is we are a local company with several photobooths, photobooth attendants, and support staff.

The reason they didn't hear from me the night of the wedding or the day after was because I was not aware of any incident. It wasn't until we received a message on our company Facebook page that my Sacramento manager contacted me to let me know of this unfortunate event.

I immediately called [redacted], but was met by a voicemail. I tried contacting her several times a day for the better part of a week before I finally received a call back from her husband saying they had retained an attorney and they would not speak to me. I contacted them before the dozens of negative reviews of half-facts started pouring in.

The next day I attempted to contact [redacted]'s attorney. I was again met by a voicemail. It wasn't until a week later and after another attempt to make contact did I finally get a response.

The attorney and I had a very brief conversation regarding the refund [redacted] was due. That refund was processed and delivered on October 25, 2013. The check number for the agreed upon amount was #[redacted].

As the owner of [redacted] Photography I take full responsibility of this incident. I take great pride in the quality of service we provide and work hard to prevent any issues no matter how major or minor. There are no other reviews on Yelp.com recommended or filtered saying that we did not show up to an event. That is of course with the exception of the dozens of solicited reviews left by [redacted], her husband and their friends and family.

Throughout this entire process there has been no lack of apologies or denial of a refund. In addition to the reviews left on Yelp.com we received numerous messages on our Facebook page condemning us for not refunding [redacted]. To those messages we responded letting them know that we were very apologetic and that we were trying to contact [redacted] or her husband so that we could give them their deserved refund. Since these people made a choice to get involved we asked them to help us get a hold of [redacted] or her husband.

At this point I do not know what else can be done. Contrary to [redacted]'s November statement to you this matter has been resolved. They received the settlement for the damages requested by their attorney in late October.

It is my belief that [redacted] is pushing this issue through every avenue possible in attempts to harass me and my company.

Response:

I have not revived a refund; please resend it. Once [redacted] Photography asked for mailing address to mail my refund I have not contacted him nor have I written a review of any form about my experience with this company.

Review: My daughters soccer team photo was taken by [redacted] Photography during the middle of the soccer season. For some reason the files got corrupted and we had no team photo. I contacted [redacted] Photography several times to see if we could retake the team picture. My first email was on November 27, 2013 asking for the retake and [redacted] agreed to retake the team picture on December 7, 2013 at Larchmont Park. A photographer did come out and retake the pictures, but we have yet seen any photos. I have tried to contact the company by multiple emails and phone calls and I don't get any response. I was able to contact [redacted] by Phone on Saturday January 17, 2013 and [redacted] said he would get back to me the next day. Till this day no response. I would hope [redacted] Photography would hold up to their agreement and give 9 year old's their soccer memories.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] Photography to give each player(13) their team photo like he agreed too.
