I'm very sorry, but the Dealership cannot transfer the warranty without the previous owner's permissionIt's illegalI will contact [redacted] Company to find out if there's any way they can assist furtherThe Service Contract is an optional item purchased by the original owner, but unlike the factory warrant, it doesn't automatically transfer to the new ownerWho promised to transfer the Service Contract? Was the vehicle purchased from the original owner directly or from a Dealership?

I realize this is a frustrating issue and I definitely understand [redacted] dilemmaUnfortunately, we are Hilltop Ford, an individual franchise, we are not [redacted] companyWe cannot transfer the service contract without the original's owner's permission Hilltop Ford does not have access to the original owner's informationI would suggest [redacted] to contact the selling dealership and have them send a letter to the original owner requesting permission to transfer the service contract Or if she has the information I can send a request on her behalf

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
The response fails to address my issues nor does it appear the responder actually understands what the issues are that have been outlinedIt becomes circular with me explaining and explaining over and over againFord passing the buck to corporate then from corporate to the dealer etc
I understand that the policy can not be changed without the consent of the original buyer That is the problem Though Ford states that the warranty on my vehicle is in the original buyers name, they then state they, Ford nor the warranty company may contact the buyer to inform them that they are owed a refund from yrs ago because the dealer they traded the car into didn't process the paper work correctlyOr, conversely they state that they do not have any information on that buyer and therefor can not contact them It ISNT illegal for Ford to offer a customer service call to inform someone of money they are owed The customer at that time could say well the warranty was part of the trade in value and was suppose to go to the car
why can't ford offer the refund to the buyer, that the original buyer isn't aware they are owed because they don't know the dealer didn't process the transfer incorrectly? Why Because they don't want to refund the original buyer They want their money for the warranty and mine They want one car to have warranties
only one warranty should be issued for this vehicle Refund the original buyer at the mileage of which is easily proved through *** records of the trade in and whose name and information the warranty company has That is not only legal but good customer service Instead Ford chooses to steal money they know is owed back to their customer
Refund the original buyer or transfer to my name
Sincerely,*** ***

I'm very sorry, but the Dealership cannot transfer the warranty without the previous owner's permission. It's illegal. Hilltop Ford does not have access to...

the original owner's information. I would suggest [redacted] to contact the selling dealership and have them send a letter to the original owner requesting permission to transfer the service contract Or if she has the information I can send a request on her behalf.
