Review: On Aug. 3, 2014 I attended the dog show at [redacted]. While walking by Michael Vest Photography , I was approached by both Michael Vest and his wife (introduced as wife) and offered a special sale price on an 8x10 mounted dog photo for $50.00. This special sale price and the product were discussed in length. I was specific , at one point in asking if the picture of my dog, if purchased, would look exactly like the one on the floor. The answer was yes. My dog was photographed, the big canvass hanging on the wall was discussed and I said I could not afford it. In addition to the special they were running I also purchased what turned out to be 4 for $25.00 wallet size pics of my dog [redacted] Mr. Vest include for free a 5x7 pic . I thought I would receive a 8x10 canvas of my dog as the special shown. Instead, in the mail, I received an 8x10 picture to frame. I feel Mr. Vest and his wife misrepresented what I was buying in order to make a sale. I have the sales receipt showing 50.00 for a session. I admit to not studying the receipt after the purchase- just put it in my pocketbook and left. I would like to return all to Mr. Vest and be refunded my money. I feel angry about being taken advantage of and feel Mr. Vest needs to present a more honest version of what you are buying. I called Mr. Vest after receiving pics in mail and he said the item they were using in the sales pitch was a pic mounted on a board so pic would not be damaged. Again, I will say I ask if what I was buying would look exactly like what he was showing in the floor. It was a dishonest approach at best.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the pics to Mr. Vest for a refund.

Now that you have publicly called me a liar and a dishonest person and made this such a personal attack; I need to respond to you in order to set the record strait.

First and foremost my business associate ([redacted]) was never introduced to you as my wife. You were never approached; you came over to our booth and asked if you could have your dog photographed even though you were only visiting the show.

We had an 8x10, 11x14 and a 16x20 print all of the same dog. They were mounted on boards so that they could be on display in our small booth. They were to show the difference in sizes that were available. You were never told that you would get a mounted print. The Sales sign was clearly visible in our booth (see photo attached).

When you called my studio you said that $50 was too much for an 8x10 print. When I explained that the $50 was for the photo session, 1-8x10 print, sales tax and shippinq to vour home your response was that it was not worth arguing over and hung up.

As I remember you told me you were en "artist". That leads me to believe you saw an opportunity to have your dog professionally photographed and get a print so that you could paint from it. Since you were unhappy with the fact that the 8x10 print was not mounted, I suggest you take it to [redacted] across from [redacted] and have them mount it and to bill me.

lf this is not removed from my Revdex.com file or it affects me, my business or my associates in any negative way I will consult with my lawyer to pursue my options for your character defamation of me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will accept the response from Michael Vest in the same vein as Michael Vest sent it. I do not plan on visiting [redacted] as he suggested, however, I will consider this complaint resolved.
