Dear Sir/Madame:The Insured (complainant)  contacted me by phone with the clear intent  to purchase insurance for a three family home in  [redacted], **. This  location  was previously owned by an existing   client who sold the property to the insured.   My...

existing  client was also insured with [redacted].  [redacted] is an insurer who always  bills directly  the insured property owner.  In other words, my agency does not collect the premium from the insured  and then  in turn  would pay  [redacted] via an agency check (aka Agency Billed). In cases of an agency billed policy/account, the entire annual premium must be paid  by the agency.Due to the facts the insured  presented me on the phone, the only viable  option I had was to place the policy with [redacted]. He asked for a quote, and I informed him [redacted] does not provide quotes.  He  then authorized me,  over the phone, to submit his application on his behalf to [redacted].  I e-mailed him the  completed application and  correspondence immediately.I  also informed him they issue the policy and then,  if the insured does not accept the policy, the insured would immediately notify [redacted] or my agency in writing they did not want the policy.  Numerous times after the policy was issued, the insured did not respond to any of  my e-mails and phone calls to make payment directly or notify his mortgage company to do so.  He did not notify my agency in writing he did not want the policy, and to the best of my knowledge, he did not notify [redacted] either.  The insured , to my best knowledge, is the first account who did not accept the [redacted] policy issued through my  efforts. Therefore, I consider my work and obligation for the insured  as complete and finished.Since this policy is direct billed, [redacted] placed the billing with a collection agency for the minimum premium required since the insured did not reply to anyone in any timely or reasonable fashion.  He is not responsible for the entire annual premium since [redacted] cancelled the policy within their stated time limits. I am , as I told him when he called me last week,  not obligated to pay any amount of  this minimum premium for his cancelled [redacted] policy . Again,  for the record, I invited the insured to my agency last week  to discuss this matter. It is clear by his complaint referenced with Revdex.com he refuses to do so.I have numerous clients I have placed with [redacted] for various underwriting and insurance reasons.  No one else  has a problem with my service,  the premiums, billing, coverage or claims.Overall, I have been a licensed agent for forty years. Not once has any insured client lodged a complaint with Revdex.com or any other regulatory body against me,  until now.  Therefore,  based on the facts and my  long-standing exemplary history,   please consider this matter closed.Thank you for contacting me.Best regards,[redacted]
