Michael's Honda Yamaha Suzuki Kawasaki

The inability of the staff at Michael's Cycle Works to fix motorcycles appropriately placed my life in danger. It all started with the need to purchase tires for my bike. I went in and the guy behind the counter ordered me the wrong tires. He looked on his computer and in his books and said they do not sell my tires any longer so would have to sell me other tires for $600+. Before I had found that out, I went in when the tires came in and left my bike there for 3 hours until they called me and told me they could not get a caliper bolt off the front caliper. They had supposedly broken a socket and thought they would need to break the bolt in order to remove the caliper then the tire. I told them to go ahead if that is what they needed to do but they said they did not have the bolts in stock. A Kawasaki Dealership that services Kawasaki motorcycles and they did not have a caliper bolt in stock! So I ordered two at their request. I was later contacted saying the bolts were in and to bring my bike back in. I left it there and then called them about 3 hours later saying they needed another hour. I showed up an hour later and was met by [redacted] who was quick to point out that he quoted me the wrong price on the tire installation and should have charged me more and oh yeah, we ordered you the wrong tires! Long story short I left my bike there for about a week and finally got the tires on.I drove it home about 25 miles away. Parked it in the garage and did not drive it again until today (06-15-14). I got about 6 miles from my home and my back brake caliper came off. They apparently did not tighten the bolts. I was able to bungee cord it to my frame and drove my bike back home on the front break only.Thereby placing my life in danger due to the incompetence of Michael's Cycle Works staff.Product_Or_Service: Tires and laborDesired SettlementI would like at least $200 reimbursement due to being afraid to ride my bike due to not knowing what else there incompetent service staff did or did not do.The $200 will be used to take the bike to a competent motorcycle repair shop to fix or undue the shoddy workmanship I received.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Store ManagerContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]This complaint is the first anyone at the store has heard of this. We at Mchael's Cycle Works, Inc. do our best to satisfy the need of customers. If this situation was brought to our attention we certainly would have asked to look at this motorcycle in order to determine what was going on with it. If we in fact found that we had made an error then we do what ever we can to fix the error. If the safety of the motorcycle is in question then we would be more then willing to pick it up for [redacted]. Without seeing the problem it is very difficult to put a monetary value on what is or is not our error.
