Had Chiropractic work done Sept 2011. I was told the initial consultation was covered by a charity donation for which they provided a receipt. On the Second visit I asked upon my arrival what the cost would be. They advised me that they would explain that at the end of my visit. On this second and last visit that I was then told "Good news you have already met your deductible for the year per the insurance company no further charges". Then surprised to receive a bill for $215 in October. Then a few weeks later I received a letter from my employers’ benefits and insurance department (**) that they had made payments and that I owed $64.20 "when billed by the provider". I proactively sent to the Chiropractor the $64.20 prior to them billing me. I later received a bill and continue to receive bills with finance charges mounting. Feb bill was $60.20. To resolve this I reviewed this problem with my employers Benefits counsel in December. They recommended I contact the Chiropractor office to get additional rationale on why there were additional costs. To get this information I made a few calls in December which were not returned. I then followed up with a letter. The response to the letter was a reformatted bill. I have since tried to get additional information, but when I called the office I am told that the correct people are not available. I left phone number to call me back but I have never received a call, a missed call or a message from a call. I have detail call logs.
