it is still a $deposit and each payment is $Your daughter signed the contract on November 3rd, to secure the Grand Ballroom for the date of Friday, October 28th, She had secured that date for monthsDuring those months we had turned away potential clientsWe received a cancellation letter on Tuesday, September 6th, It is extremely hard to book a room with such short noticeIt is in the best interest on both sides if we can rebook the roomIf we had any calls inquiring specifically about Friday, October 28th, that person would have been informed that the Grand Ballroom was availableSince we are being accused of possible fraud I feel that it is fair to request the following information so that we may compare our records to yours
1) Date and Time call took place
2) Name of the person who called Michaud's
3) Phone number that was used to place call
4) Name of the person he or she talked with representing Michaud's
You made payments in good faith believing your daughter was getting married and agreeing to the terms of the contract at that timeOther venues in the local area have stricter policies in regards to deposits and cancellationsMany can be read right on their websitesWe are sorry that your daughter's wedding had been called off but we feel that our contract is more than fair
