On August 21, 2015, our office received an incoming call from a Ms*** ***She responded to a validation notice sent to her by Attorney Michele GGreer, PLLCAfter confirming her identity, confirming her address & delivering the
required mini-miranda, Ms*** proceeded to state repeatedly her genuine surprise at receiving the notice from Attorney Greer & that she was unaware that the obligation in question was owedAfter re-verifying Ms***'s address, it was pointed out to her that our client & an outside collection agency had both sent statements to Ms*** well prior to the file being assigned to our law officeMs*** then changed her tack by admitting that she was aware that the obligation was owed & subsequently blamed a 3rd party diagnostic company for improperly billing the item in question to her insurerShortly thereafter Ms*** again switched her approach & maintained that she was unaware that the obligation was owedHaving said that, it was determined that the best course of action to take was to advise Ms*** that we would be treating the obligation as a dispute, that we would request validation from our client, & once received would forward the validation to herShe was also advised that while awaiting the validation from our client that a hold would be put on the accountValidation of the obligation was received from our client August 26, 2015, and was mailed to Ms***'s address August 27, As of today's date, September 10, 2015, Ms*** has not followed up to acknowledge receiving the validation nor has she attempted to follow up to discuss a resolution to this matterWorth noting is that once it was confirmed early in the call that other entities had sent statements to Ms*** prior to our involvement, Ms*** adopted a contentious tone which bordered on hostileSince the initial incoming call from Ms*** no further efforts have been made on our part to call herWe await her previous commitment to contact us to resolve the matter in question now that the requested information has been made available to her
