Treatment was rendered for patient, Consultation on 06/06/provided him with all his options, although I told him I felt prognosis was very questionable he agreed to service and signed consent formIn the process of retreatment on 06/30/16, I found tooth to be unsalvageable and advised him that tooth needed to be extractedI quoted to him that the cost is “generally a quarter of the cost of retreatment”, which is $When he was discharged my receptionist collected my incomplete fee of $He was referred to his general dentist for the extraction. On July 1st I received an email from him complaining of cost of treatment and popainI was on vacation but responded that same day by email to himI explained sequelae of treatment is sometimes unfortunately painful, and that he needed to schedule his extraction ASAPHe was on antibiotics and pain management analgesic, so there was nothing more I could provide to himI apologized for my mis quote of fees and told him I would reimburse him the difference of $( the quarter fee, his fee should have been $368.75), once I returned to my office on July 7thHe again sent another email reiterating his dissatisfaction. My receptionist tried contacting him several times to pick up his check but he said he was too busy,The care credit account contacted me and requested I reimburse them the difference instead of directly paying patient, which I did on July 19,2016.I would be happy to send all documentation of his notes and billing ledger.I feel I acted ethically by advising patient of findings and not continuing with treatment only to fail shortly afterwards. My fee is usual and customary for the services that were provided

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments belowRegardless what was mentioned about my options in the previous consultation, you failed to tell me the possibility about the pain and suffering which I greatly endured that week stopping the procedure which should have been mentioned from the beginning as I would never have taken this procedure on if I knew these possible results,I thought that tooth nerves were dead which wasnt the case and I didnt sleep at least almost days from consistent throbbing even with a pain killer after this procedure as I was still in much discomfort..Im sorry but the temporary filling in the crown that was rendered started to deteriate immediately the following day which im no doctor but probably had something to do with the pain and suffering I endured,I could not have the tooth extracted until almost a week later as this happened over july 4th week end and it actually ruined my whole holiday week end .Also after I had the tooth extracted, there still were no cracks found in the root which was mentioned that could have been the cause of infection.Yes and I did complain about the amount ,as it was a failed procedure with much pain for results and in my opinion almost seemed rushed as the whole process was no more then minutes ,yes your secretary did call actually the day I had it extracted, and then the following day when I was still in a little discomfort and im sorry but I wasnt about to discuss this anymore over the phone with this at that moment and after all this I was completely dissatisfied especially when the filling tiny particles kept breaking away from it,who would be with results like that? sincerely [redacted] [redacted]

Treatment was rendered for patient, Consultation on 06/06/16 provided him with all his options, although I told him I felt prognosis was very questionable he agreed to service and signed consent form. In the process of retreatment on 06/30/16, I found tooth to be unsalvageable and advised him that...

tooth needed to be extracted. I quoted to him that the cost is “generally a quarter of the cost of retreatment”, which is $1475. When he was discharged my receptionist collected my incomplete fee of $450. He was referred to his general dentist for the extraction. On July 1st I received an email from him complaining of cost of treatment and post-op pain. I was on vacation but responded that same day by email to him. I explained sequelae of treatment is sometimes unfortunately painful, and that he needed to schedule his extraction ASAP. He was on antibiotics and pain management analgesic, so there was nothing more I could provide to him. I apologized for my mis quote of fees and told him I would reimburse him the difference of $81.25 ( the quarter fee, his fee should have been $368.75), once I returned to my office on July 7th. He again sent another email reiterating his dissatisfaction. My receptionist tried contacting him several times to pick up his check but he said he was too busy,. The care credit account contacted me and requested I reimburse them the difference instead of directly paying patient, which I did on July 19,2016.I would be happy to send all documentation of his notes and billing ledger.I feel I acted ethically by advising patient of findings and not continuing with treatment only to fail shortly afterwards. My fee is usual and customary for the services that were provided.
