You made several claims in your Complaint which I will address .
Whitetail Deer #was received by me on November 2014. I charged $for a Shoulder Mount +$Sales Tax in 2014, for a total of $593.45. You payed me a $Deposit. You were quoted an
“ESTIMATED” completion time of Months (May 2016). With a Day Grace Period (August 2016).
Whitetail Deer #was received November 2015. I was charging $for a Shoulder Mount that year+ Sales Tax. You requested an upgrade of a Wall Pedestal which is an additional 10% ($57.50) of a Shoulder Mount bringing the mount price up to $+ $Sales Tax, for a total of $682.47. You payed me a $Deposit. You were quoted an “ESTIMATED” completion time of Months (May 2017). With a Day Grace Period (August 2017). Line in my contract, which you signed, states;
“Contract Line #8; I understand that taxidermy work takes time and that most projects require an average of months to complete after the 50% deposit is received. You are hereby on notice that an estimate of the time for services on this particular specimen will be approximately ___18___ days/MONTHS/years. In the event that the contracted taxidermy services are going to take more than days than the written estimate, MNT will notify you in a timely manner.”
Looking on my phone back as far as it keeps record without requesting my Call Logs from the Phone Company. As you can see attempts to get in touch with you from just this phone line were made with in just the past weeks to the different phone numbers you provided to me on both contracts. Numerous other attempts before December 8th were made Going back at least months

Please refer to line of my contract that you signed;
“Contract Line #9; It is my responsibility to keep MNT appraised of my current contact information. I assume all responsibility that results from MNT not being able to contact me throughout the duration of this Contract.”
Upon our eventual contact, Jan @ 12:57pm by phone (#***). You confronted me claiming I had not tried contacting you about Deer #being complete. I gave you the balance you stilled owed of $over the phone. You said you would be by that day in the afternoon to pick it up
Approximately 3-4pm you came to pick up your deer at which time you accused me of not trying to contact you once over the course of months. I explained to you that I had repeatedly tried contacting you. You repeatedly accused me of not doing so. I tried showing you on my phone the records of the past weeks. You refused to verify it with me.
You then proceeded to dispute the Sales Tax, telling me that your previous Taxidermist hadn’t charged you Sales Tax. I replied that he would have been breaking the Law. Your response was “I don’t Care, I’m not paying Sales Tax.” You proceeded then to tell me that you were only paying me $of the $remaining on the Bill for Deer #
At that point I told you that you would not only be paying me in FULL for Deer #but that you were also going to be collecting the tanned and fully prepped Cape from Deer #(your antlers were already in your possession) I also informed you that you would be paying me for the work I had already completed on that project. That amount came out to $+ $in Sales Tax for a total of $
You threatened to call the Police and have them collect your Items. I told you that was fine but that they couldn’t legally do thatYou then threatened me with a Lawyer. Again I told you that was fine
Just so we are all clear on the final Bill:
Deer #402; The price of the Mount was $+ $in Sales Tax. Minus the $Deposit left with a negative balance of $
Deer #427; The price of the work I had done came out to $+ $in Sales Tax. Minus the $Deposit left you with a Credit of $
Deer #@ $minus your credit from Deer #of $left your final Bill at $
You then told me that you were just going to take both Deer (not pay anything on your Bill) and we could settle it in Court. At which point I told you that you would be paying your final bill of $before you took anything. I also informed you that you would be paying me in CASH! At which point you complained about having to go to the ATM and slammed the door on the way out.
While you were gone I called a neighbor to come over and act as a witness. When you returned you said very little. Paid your bill and left with your animals. Up until that point almost the entire time you here you were confrontational, yelling, slamming doors (multiple times), and threatening meIn regards to Sales Tax, I am by LAW required to collect, for the state of Washington, Sales Tax. I do not get to legally choose who I do and do not want to collect Sales Tax from. There are few exemptions; you have provided no documentation in the effect showing you are exempt from paying Sales Tax in the State of Washington. This was verified with the DOR this morning over the phone. As a result your Demand for a Sales Tax Refund is denied
