I'd like to thank Tammie P*** for her detailed review of Acurian HealthI just received a letter from them offering up to $for participating in an osteoarthritis study in my home town of Birmingham, AL which, with all the medical research done here, is called the 'Medical Mecca of the South'Tammie's information convinced me that the lure of $isn't enough to get me to sign upThey offer different tests and medications for freeActually I think the $is a cobecause the letter says 'up to' that amount and varies by the study you are in
I could not be any more frustratedThis 'study' group service keeps you on the phone for at least minutes, gathering personal, health information, only to at the end of the conversation to tell you that unfortunately my city is not running the study at this time!!! That needs to be determined up front!! Don't waste my time!!! AND do not gather information that is pointless to give to you!! Seems like the information was gathered for other means!
I agree with the person who suggested that Acurian Health should let you know up front that there is not a study in your area before asking you loads of personal questions on your health.The phone conversation was also a poor connection I called them because I received a letter saying there was a Diabetes research study I do not understand why them made me answer all the questionstell me in my town, but after asking many questiontell me I qualify then tell me there were no studies in my area and that someone woulld call back if one opened upThey should have been able to check by my zip code and tell up front
