I would like to thank you first and foremost for your patience through this whole issue with your vehicle. We do inspect our vehicles and repair them as necessary. However, with your vehicle we did realize that there was an...

issue with your vehicle setting that particular code for the converter when you brought it back. We needed to determine that the converter that we replaced during our original inspection was indeed faulty again, or that the other converter was creating an issue as well. There are other things besides the converter that can cause this code. The frustrating thing is that we have to drive the vehicle through a "complete drive cycle" to make sure the computer passes the tests for the converters. We sent the vehicle to a Chevy dealer to have them assist us in the repair. They were not able to get the converter to fail the drive cycle test. When we got the vehicle back from them we looked into any other issues with the vehicle and were not able to find anything else wrong with the vehicle. We sent it back to the Chevy dealer and at that time they were able to get the code to reset and found that the other converter was not efficient. We had them replace the converter and we drove it to verify that the computer was passing the "complete drive cycle" test. Depending on the situation it can take anywhere from 50 to 200 miles to perform one complete drive cycle. I understand your frustration with your vehicle and when we talked on the phone I explained to you what we were doing. However, sometimes these things are tedious and in no way did we try to not take care of the vehicle for you. We certainly value you as a customer and we hope you can take into consideration that we were able to correctly repair your vehicle even though it did take a considerable amount of time. We were happy to be able to provide you with a minivan for alternate transportation while we had your vehicle for so long. We appreciate your business and we hope that we can put this misunderstanding behind us and continue to do business with you in the years to come.
