This is in reference to complaint case# XXXXXX for *** Jewelry & Pawnbrokers WKearney Springfield, Mo XXXXX
Mr*** pawned his Dell laptop and his Dell tablet (trans #XXXXXXXXX) on 7/20/His contact
time was days from that date by Missouri lawHe paid a day extension on 9/30/He paid another day extension on 11/10/but his debit card didn't go through so we had to void the payment and he returned on 11/27/He paid another day extension on 12/28/This put the pawn to expire on 1/27/He came in the store on 2/1/to pay but the items were already out for sale so he bought them back
He pawned Sntools and Matco tool (trans #XXXXXXXXX) on 7/21/His contact time was days from that date by Missouri lawHe paid a day extension on 9/30/He paid another day extension on 11/27/He paid another day extension on 12/28/This put the pawn to expire on 1/28/He came in on 2/1/to pay but the items were already out for sale and of the Sntools had sold on 1/30/He bought back the remaining items
We have included all the paperwork to back this upThe stores assistant manager, Lisa, explained to Mr*** on more than occasion that we can not extend a pawn past it's forfeiture date, which is already set to give them an extra days, days total, or hold it once it has expired, per corporate policyIt's out of our controlUnfortunately we have this happen from time to time when customers do not pay on their pawns in a timely manner and we do everything we can to work with them

Thank you for your feedback Mr***We certainly don't take lightly your concerns
After speaking with the associate we believe that Mr*** never indicated that the firearm was in 'new' conditionIn fact Mr*** remembers saying
that the gun was "Like new", which Mr*** seems to affirm in his complaint by saying "it looked like it (new)"The handgun was located and removed from a 6' glass cabinet that is clearly labeled "Pre-Owned Handguns", which is clearly visible to both the associates and customers alike
Upon receiving the first call from Mr*** indicating that the firearm was not functioning properly, we apologized for any inconvenience and informed Mr*** that he was welcome and encouraged to bring the firearm back to the store for a full refundMr*** insisted that he mail the gun into us rather than actually physically bringing the firearm into the storeMr*** informed Mr*** that we would not be able to receive the gun as a transfer via mail nor facilitate the return of the funds through the mailMr*** was clearly not pleased with this and vocalized his displeasure by yelling and using profanityMr *** remained calm and again apologized, assuring Mr*** that we would be happy to refund his money if he would simply bring the gun back into the store at his own convenienceAt some point there after Mr*** apparently chose to sell the firearm to a 3rd partyAfter which, he sent us a threatening letter demanding that we give him ***
I informed Mr*** that we were not able to send him the money based on an alleged sale that supposedly resulted in loss of *** But explained that we needed the original firearm in order to do a complete refund
We at Loftis have been serving our customers for over yearsWe always strive to super serve our customers

The show case was very clearly marked New guns, my wife *** stood there & witnessed it, only my wife & I & *** present
After the complaint in wrinting to Loftis the owner told me I would have paid for shipping & furnished a box for it to return, *** told company policy is no shipping only in personI never raise my voice or use profanity, ever Since I became a Christian years ago, I can get testmonies in writing from to fellow Christians to verify, I never use profanity
Just forget it, my wife & I could meet him court & prove *** wrongBut we will let God deal with Him
