July 7th, 2016RE: Complain ID #: [redacted] This letter directly responds to the customer complaint that was made with regards to Aegis Air Services and the letter that we received from the Revdex.com.To Whom It May Concern:In short summary, we sent a technician to a service call to the customer, [redacted]...

[redacted]'s house to evaluate his system. After evaluating the system, the technician found a brought to [redacted]'s attention that the AC unit was losing Freon. The loss of Freon in a unit results in a malfunctioning unit. The technician stated that, because the AC unit was very old, it was losing Freon and the best option was to replace the whole unit. The customer, [redacted], insisted on paying only to fix the leak and did not want us to replace the whole unit. The technician warned the customer that this would only temporarily fix the the leak and that eventually this problem would occur in the future, regardless. As a result, we added one pound of Freon to the existing AC unit and charged [redacted] $170 for the service call and fixing the problem on site.Two weeks later, [redacted] called saying he wanted a refund because the unit was not working properly. Meanwhile, the customer brought in another company to fix the unit. [redacted] claims that he called multiple times and no one answered him. This is incorrect because he spoke with the office manager about the refund and the manger informed him that there would not be any refund given because we did the job that was promised and advised by [redacted] knowing the leak would only provide a temporary fix. On the other hand, it was [redacted]'s right to bring another company for a second opinion since he did not call us back to look at the unit again. However, once another company got involved and came in to work on the unit after Aegis Air, we hold no responsibility for what was done to the unit afterwards.The $170 that Aegis Air charged to [redacted] included the cost for a technician to come to the house and service the unit on the spot and therefor, no refund was deserved. Time and labor was spent for a technician to visit [redacted]'s home and fix what he advised us to. Due to the fact that [redacted] spent additional money with [redacted] on the unit does not give him the right to come back two weeks later asking for a refund.I ask that this case be resolved and closed because we find this complaint invalid and unreasonable.
