7/16/2014Dear [redacted]:I am deeply saddening and disappointed that [redacted] did not respond to the inquires sent from your office. He did send me papers to sign asking me basically, if he give me a refund I would have to sign release forms; releasing him, his business, seemingly...

his parent company and the surgical center of all claims and damages. This is my money anyway for services he did not perform that he convinced me I needed. This is unacceptable business practices.Respectfully,Venna S

Review: Mid Atlantic Builders built my home and failed to install one of the selected items in my selection packages. The grading of the site does not promote positive drainage and as a result I have a pond with frogs and toads in my rear yard. The chandelier installed in my house has been defective from the day we moved in and it was brought to the attention of the Construction Manager and and now after the one year warranty period he claims he had no knowledge of it.Desired Settlement: Mid Atlantic to make whole what is due to me by fixing the pond and replacing chandelier with a non defective on and finish the installation of the attic fan as selected plus interest for collecting funds for an item that was not installed till a year later.

Review: We discovered a leak in our home on 11/27/2013 in the corner of an unfinished area of our basement. A portion of the foundation wall was wet from the ceiling to the floor and the water began to pool. We quickly moved some of our storage items that were damaged and determined that the water was not coming from a plumbing source. We believed given the location of the water and the path, that this was due to the prior days rain. We had received an excessive amount of rain two consecutive nights prior to our discovery. We followed our emergency service guidelines provided by Mid-Atlantic Builders and immediately called ([redacted]), the warranty company provided by Mid-Atlantic. We got an answering service and left a message. We received a call back not long after we left the voicemail by ([redacted]) from [redacted] ###-###-####. We explained the issue and she asked, "is this related to plumbing"? We said no, we believe it is from the roof. She took our information and stated she would need to get in contact with the vendor for scheduling. This was the day before Thanksgiving so we didn't anticipate hearing anything until Friday or Monday at the latest. On 11/29/2013 I called [redacted], but they were closed the day after Thanksgiving. On 12/3/2013 we had not received a call or any correspondence regarding our issue. I emailed ([redacted]) at [redacted] and copied the Mid-Atlantic construction manager [redacted] and Sales Representative [redacted] expressing our concern about this leak and the fact that we have not been called about this for scheduling. I also sent a photo of the damage. I expressed our concerns about weather approaching in the coming days On 12/4/2013 the construction manager [redacted] stopped by to take a look. He believed it was a issue with the roof as well, but we had to go through the warranty process so there was nothing he could do. The same day 12/4/13 we received a call from [redacted] a Plumbing subcontractor for Mid-Atlantic. They stated over the phone that there was nothing they could do and we would have to wait for the proper subcontractor for the roof to come out. On 12/5/2013 I received a call from [redacted] at [redacted] stating that they need to schedule all contractors associated on the same day and would call me back after scheduling is coordinated. She called back stating Monday 12/9/2013 was the day that they agreed to come out to my residence. I was disappointed with this date given it had been dry and no rain in the area since 11/27/2013 and it was known and I expressed over and over that in climate weather was on the way. Well here we are today 12/9/2013 I called [redacted] at 9am to follow up and got the after hours answering service. I was called back for a follow up from [redacted] at [redacted] and he stated that due to weather they need to reschedule for Friday 12/13/2013. At this point I have lost all faith and confidence in Mid-Atlantic Builders customer service and warranty service they provide via [redacted]. Due to current weather conditions, again I have water running down the wall of my basement and it is pooling. I have now placed buckets to bail water and have purchased dehumidifiers, air purifiers to try and counter act the mildew/mold that is now showing in the corner at baseboard molding in the finished rec area. We have an asthmatic Son and should not have to tolerate mildew/molding conditions due to the lack of response or urgency shown by Mid-Atlantic or any of its sub contractors. in our "New" home.Desired Settlement: We would like Mid-Atlantic to get involved with insuring the timely repair of this issue and to take direct responsibility for the lack of timely customer service provided in this manner by its sub contractors and warranty company they have ultimately provided. At the end of the day, we purchased our home from Mid-Atlantic, not [redacted] or any Sub Contractor.

Review: I purchased my home from Mid-Atlantic Builders on July 6th 2012. According to the Mid-Atlantic, I had one-year to enter all the issues related to my home into their system. They have yet to resolve the issues and since have hired a company called Prohomes to handle their warranty work. I've communicated with Mid-Atlantic endlessly to get my items resolved but they have not stepped up to the plate to take care of their responsibilities. The sent me a letter dated October 7th, 2013, saying I closed on my home on "June 22, 2013", which is an inaccurate date. They state they will resolve the issues that were in their system "in the coming weeks". They are not responding to any of my emails and nothing is getting done. I have neighbors that are saying they have received similar treatment from Mid-Atlantic. PLEASE assist me. I have plenty of emails that I've sent Mid-Atlantic and Prohomes to back up my claim.Desired Settlement: As I explained to Mid-Atlantic, all I want them to do is to get the contractors in to resolve my issues. Nothing more and nothing less.
