Review: I purchase a home on 12/23/14. According to inspector, there are vertical, horizontal crack and lots of shifting block on two side of wall in crawl space. I ask Mid-Atlantic to come for foundation.

When Joe, the inspector, come and said it is due to water freeze so waterproofing is needed. I ask how they fix my foundation? He answer "We are going to push the wall back straight, then attach a special remembrance which can hold the foundation, prevent from getting worse." I also point at the crack and shifting brick and ask again" Is it possible to push it back?" He said yes, then tell me some job and celebrity they have work with. We sign the contract on 2/3/15, schedule on 2/10/15 to do the work.

Due to the weather, we both agree to postpone the work to 2/17. On maybe 2/19, I got a phone call from Mid-Atlantic (Dan) said the wall shears, the foundation is not stable. Then stop the work. (At this point, they only dig the ground and put half of the pipe under). They said my contract is only for waterproofing, not including fixing the foundation.

Then Joe, the inspector, call me on 2/23 and said " They give you the option, if you want the wall to be replace, they gona charge for it" I don't agree because what I ask is to fix the foundation.

Then Bill Smith from Mid-Atlantic call on 2/25 said " there is a 10 foot shear wall, that is not on the contract...". He said he will sent engineer to come.

I was schedule for 3/5 with engineer but no call no show. I keep call them but finally they call back and schedule 3/17.

During this time, don't know when or who, try to "finish" the waterproofing. It is a sloppy work and left lots of mess.

After 3/17, I keep trying to call them on 4/15,16,20,22,24, Finally get call back on 4/29 and schedule 5/5 for another contractor to visit.

5/10, Bill said they are willing to eat the front wall, but the other wall I have to pay for it. I said this is not the contract I want to sign with Joe. He said will call me back on 5/11 but didn'tDesired Settlement: They try to sell me the waterproofing but ignore my foundation problem. He admit they he didn't do the repair which is on the contract, but still trying to ask for the rest of the money. This is not honor and I don't want to deal with a company who play games. I want my $1,700 deposit back.
