Overview of facts.I have a copy of the email in which Miss *** states " Both me and my partner have reviewed your estimate and would like you to do the work"We arrived and conducted the work with Miss *** present at all times. Upon completion of the final coat we advised her that it may need some touch up after drying.I received a voicemail from Miss *** stating that all the work completed was fine and that all she needed was some minor touch upWe went immediately upon her first convenience to do so and Miss *** thanked us for this by voicemail and verbally. At no time did Miss *** state any issues to my forewomen Vanessa or myself until it came time to pay the billAt which time she stated that another company told her they would have done it for less.Should you feel the need to hear the voicemail from Miss *** stating all the work was completed and fine , see the email readily accepting the bid or speak to the forewoman (vanessa) to confirm any of thisPlease let me know.Thank You,Phil Fasolo - owner

This complaint simply makes no sense. When we estimated thisWe explained that the cracks could be due to movement/settling etc or moistureThey assured that there may have been moisture but it had been mitigatedI advised them that we could do one of two thingsRe-install sheetrock over
the ceiings or skim coat all ceilings with durabond, prime and paintI advised them as to the price difference between two options and they readily agreed to go with the durabond, sand , prime and paint as it was a much cheaper optionI advised them that If there was an underlying problem such as stuctural movement or moisture etc then the cracks could reappearThey agreed to go forwardThey were present during the entire operationThey observed the work on a daily basis and even commented about the hard work being done and the qualityWe conducted the work under their strict observation and actually did extra moving of furniture, removal of items on stairwells due to their age and inability to move heavy items all in an effort to pleaseUpon completion they were very happyWe received a call regarding two tiny spots of touch up a few days later of which we sent a painter to fix who was not let in by Jackie because according to her we did not make an appointment which upset herOther than the two minutes of touch up we had no indication of any issuesWe conducted the work as specified, under their daily and direct observation and also did extra to insure their satisfaction They are wrongfully attempting to blame the skim coating and painting company for what is actually structural, moisture etc issues that they were fully aware existedThey were originally made aware of the two options available, the potential outcomes, prices and consciously made their decision It is apparent that they may need to address the real structural issues and consider gutting the rooms in question or installing new sheetrock as was one of the original suggestions

I have enclosed for your review the detailed estimate provided to Miss ***. She readily agreed to the contract and amountWe arrived and conducted the work in a neat, courteous and professional manner with every attention to detailThe job was completed exactly as stated in the estimate and
in a timely mannerThroughout the process we were in contact with Miss *** and upon the finish coat of paint did advise her it might need some touch up as it was a raspberry colorI personally spoke to her on the phone and she stated a few spots on the outside edges did need touch up but otherwise she was very happyShe stated she would not be home the next day but the following day she wouldI had a service person there at 7:that morning to accommodate Miss ***The final touch up was completed. I then spoke to her when the entire job was completed and at this time she stated that the bathroom wall patch was still "soft" and she expected us to remove sheetrock and re-installI explained to her again as I did in the beginning that it did not need removal as it was a small inch patch not caused by water etc She also stated that "*** *** *** ***" would have charged lessI set up an appointment and met with herWe inspected the walls and I showed her very clearly that there was no soft spot, we both knocked on it and it was sound, and the wall was patched professionally and soundly as we discussedAt this point she agreed it was not soft and changed to she could see the patch to which I could not. She then also stated that we charged too much and that another company said they would've done the job for dollars after the factShe is correct in that we did not paint the walls in a small closet at her direction because she did not want to empty it and I deducted dollars from the original estimated amountI explained to Miss *** that we went over the work in a detailed discussion , provided an estimate to which she agreed and was very happy with until it came time to pay for the completed workShe said we were rip off artists and made me stand outside her home until she wrote the check for and stated she was going to smear our name all over the internet

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am confused how the business can say the damage was not cause by water when that was the purpose I brought him inThe bathroom wall and closet was damaged by water and we wanted it fixedBoth my partner and I were led to believe for the price we were paying the job would have been completed betterWhen the business arrived to my house for me to show him how you can still visibly see where the leak was he started pointing out other blemishes on the wall where my response was I didn't pay you to fix those I payed you to fix thisI have both before and after pictures where you can still see where the wall buckledAlso the closet was to be painted two different colors as it had water damage that showed more on the ceilingThe closet was empty when workers arrived and decided that we just needed the ceiling painted where water damage isI never once say I could have paid $for anythingPrior to working with the business we had concrete work well over the cost of what we were paying, my partner and my issue is that we were charged $after we met and decided we didn't want part of the job done completed stillWe want an itemized break down of what we were charged for if it would have only been $to take out shelves and paint a closet with two different colors and reinstall shelvesI have original contract where it stated paint to finish which would have been two colorsAlso when I agreed to work it took the business a month to get back to me about doing the workWhen I spoke to the business on the phone and said I am going with another business because he wasn't professional enough to call me and let me know what was going on he replied he would give me a discountI refused discount because my issue was his professionalismOn numerous occasions he had me waiting to where he never showed to discuss my concernsOn August 19th he and the worker were suppose to come so we can discuss my concerns, he never showed and later stated he was somewhere else but never once said sorry for not showing, it was me and workers where I asked her to just paint outline and seal still visible cracks that were suppose to be taken care ofThe reason he should have been there is because he did the estimate not the worker and he knew what I asked to be doneOn the day I paid him I canceled a meeting to meet with him at my house at 5pmHe showed up at 6:and then seriously acted like the job that was completed was what I agreed upon for the priceI never once said I would smear him on the Internet and stated I would go to review sites to let them know about my experience so no one else is taken advantage of

Regards,
[redacted] Dear Revdex.com,It's interesting the take on our conversations that the owner had with us. Although moving furniture was in the contract cost, we moved all the pieces for the whole house except for a chest and two sofas. I would say we aren't quite as decripate as he would have you believe. We have always maintained our painting and patching ourselves until this year and the cracks never came back for years, not six months. We also were the ones that wanted to replace a few ceilings and he assured us the repair way was the way to go. I find it very irresponsible for a business owner to not own up to the poor quality of work he provided to us. I intend to pursue this further through any means you can assist me with. I hope because your approval was involved with this business, that you can suggest another means of communicating our dissatisfaction to this person. We are not interested in a civil suit, as we don't believe in going that route. However, we will consider letting others know the poor work he provided and his unprofessional attitude.Thank you,[redacted]
