***NO RESPECT FOR VETERANS!***
Just left Mid City Gym and I had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience of my life! I walked into the gym with the intention of trying it out for the day and maybe buying a membership because of the convenient location of the gym (which is between my house and the college I will be attending in midtown), but the front desk clerk (Alex F.) gave me an attitude immediately and rudely asked me where I was coming from, which was Union CityI asked him for a day pass and he told me it was $I told him that I'd never heard of a day pass costing that much (as much as the monthly membership), so he asked me where I was from and I told him I've lived multiple places and never saw a day pass that was the same as cost of membership, so he rolled his eyes and said "Welcome to New York"I felt that he was making it up, so I asked him where the daily pass price was stated, and he said it was "just policy" I walked outside and googled the gym and found that their website advertised a day free trial pass, so I asked him about it and was told I needed a New York drivers license to qualify for the offerI offered to show him my Queens College ID and explained that I just got out of the military so I still have a license from my home of record (Michigan)
He was already being rude, but this is when he REALLY got out of lineHe called me a liar, accused me of being a tourist who lived in Michigan, and refused to look at my college IDHe said I needed to pay the dollars because he "wasn't in the business of letting people work out for free, but selling memberships." Then, of ALL things, he questioned my service and said that he knew stuff about the military and could tell If I was lyingI told him I was pretty sure about my service, and that I've been deployed multiple timesHe actually had the nerve to ask me for PROOF that I've been deployed, and I can't believe I even humored him, but I did show him somethingTo add insult to injury, the man then told me my service was all made up! Mind you, there was another customer service rep and a janitor watching all of this unfold, so I can only assume this is how they do businessI can't even describe the disrespect and lack of professionalism displayedFed up, I asked for his manager, who he said wasn't there--he contradicted that about minutes laterI was then told to leave or pay the twenty dollars, so I thanked him for his service on my way out, to which he replied "thank you for YOUR service," sarcasticallyJust shameful

Just left Mid City Gym and I had the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE experience of my life! I walked into the gym with the intention of trying it out for the day and maybe buying a membership because of the convenient location of the gym (which is between my house and the college I will be attending in midtown), but the front desk clerk (Alex F.) gave me an attitude immediately and rudely asked me where I was coming from, which was Union City. I asked him for a day pass and he told me it was $20. I told him that I'd never heard of a day pass costing that much (as much as the monthly membership), so he asked me where I was from and I told him I've lived multiple places and never saw a day pass that was the same as cost of membership, so he rolled his eyes and said "Welcome to New York". I felt that he was making it up, so I asked him where the daily pass price was stated, and he said it was "just policy". I walked outside and googled the gym and found that their website advertised a 1 day free trial pass, so I asked him about it and was told I needed a New York drivers license to qualify for the offer. I offered to show him my Queens College ID and explained that I just got out of the military so I still have a license from my home of record (Michigan).

He was already being rude, but this is when he REALLY got out of line. He called me a liar, accused me of being a tourist who lived in Michigan, and refused to look at my college ID. He said I needed to pay the 20 dollars because he "wasn't in the business of letting people work out for free, but selling memberships." Then, of ALL things, he questioned my service and said that he knew stuff about the military and could tell If I was lying. I told him I was pretty sure about my service, and that I've been deployed multiple times. Mind you, there was another customer service rep and a janitor watching all of this unfold, so I can only assume this is how they do business. I can't even describe the disrespect and lack of professionalism displayed. Fed up, I asked for his manager, who he said wasn't there--he contradicted that about 2 minutes later. I was then told to leave or pay the twenty dollars, so I thanked him for his service on my way out, to which he replied "thank you for YOUR service," sarcastically. Just shameful.

Review: Contract was not given to me in time to cancel after the first month; regardless of this I'm am being penalized because of the 30 day grace period for cancellations.Desired Settlement: No charge for use of Nov AND Dec of which I'm being charged for.
