Mid City Smog

Yes Mr[redacted] came to the shop for the smog test I quoted him the price 50+cert+electronic transfer fee comes up to $out the door I ask him the general questions we ask every customer before we begin the Smog Test on any vehicle and then I start doing the inspection on the vehicle during the inspection I notice that he has some work done on the exhaust which is fine if you do it after the catalytic converters but his vehicle also had the catalytic converter removed and welded it back to the exhaust I could clearly see the welding on it and that is called tempering to the catalytic converter and that is illegal to do in state California and its not going to turn any check engine light ON, it my duty as a Tech to visually inspect all the emission related components and I tried my best to explain that to Mr[redacted] but he did not want to listen and I am doing it more than long enough to know what I am doing and I never told him to get out of the shopAnd about the smog he got from another place I don't want to say any thing about that how he get it to pass at another location but if you live in California I don't have to tell you that how he got it or some tech just got lazyany way I would like to Thanks Mr[redacted] again for his business

I am rejecting this response because:everything he's saying is a lie PERIOD...when I asked him how much he charge to do the smog he said $65 NOT $60 and I TOLD HIM CLEARLY I HAD WORK DONE ON MY EXHAUST BUT DIDNT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH MY CAT, CUZ HE ASKED WHY WAS IT SO LOUD MEANING MY "EXHAUST "AND HE ALSO ASK THAT IF I WAS SURE EVERYTHING WAS OK... BECAUSE IF NOT IT WASNT GOING TO PASS AND HE STILL HAD TO CHARGE ME FOR NOT PASSING, THEN HE ASKED THAT IF I HAD MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ON DUE TO BEING SO LOUD I SAID "YES" IF ANYTHING THE SHOP THAT WORKED ON MY VEHICLE PROBABLY REMOVE 1 OF THEM DO TO THE CUSTOM WORK THEY DID ON MY EXHAUST BUT EVERYTHING IS ON THE RIGHT WAY I EVEN TOLD HIM THAT I TOOK IT TO THAT SAME SMOG SHOP 2 YEARS AGO AND THE GUY THAT WORKED THEIR PRIOR TO HIM "PASSED IT" AND HE STATED HE WAS NEW HES BEEN THERE FOR 4 MONTHS SMH AND HE DID TELL ME TO GET OUT THE SHOP THAT ONCE I FIXED THE PBLM THEN I COULD GO BACK AND HE CHARGE ME $30 TO RETEST I EVEN SAID TO HIM THAT I WAS GOING TO CONTACT Revdex.com FOR THIS AND HE SAID "DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT GET OUT OF HERE"ONCE AGAIN HE TOLD ME TWICE TO GET OUT AND ANOTHER THING IF ACCORDING TO "HIM"...I AINT SAYING NOTHING ABOUT NO LAW IM TALKING ABOUT HIM THE GUY IN THE SMOG SHOP IF U CANT REMOVE A CATALYTIC CONVERTER AT ALL HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND TAKE IT BACK WHAT THE WELD IS GOING TO DISAPPEAR...WHAT MATTERS IS THAT IT HAD NO CODES IT DID HAVE THE ORIGINAL CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ON AND STILL DO NEVER HAD THEM OFF THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THEIR SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE I GOT THE SMOG DONE WITHIN 20-30MINTS AFTER LEAVING HIS SHOP AT A DIFFERENT SHOP SAME DAY SAME HR WITHIN THE TIME I LEFT HIS SHOP SO YOU CANT SAY "HE PBLY WAITED A DAY OR 2 TO FIX THE PBLM OR HE PUT HIS CATS BACK ON NOOOOO NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NO CODES NO NOTHING I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND WHAT EVER ELSE THE Revdex.com THINKS ITS FAIR MID CITY SMOG SHOP BAD EXPERIENCE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE LIERS AND ALL BAD EVERYTHING.!!!
