We are definitely behind in work because we are shorthanded in the shop but most of the rest of his compliant is completely untrue. Anytime you go through two clutches and a transmission within 20000 miles it's usually the driver. Either way we don't build them and we don't drive them we only do our...

best to sell and service them. When he brought it to us he told us it needed a clutch so that's all we repaired. There was another part broken that we didn't catch, even though it wasn't our fault we still did the labor for free since we didn't catch it, all he had to do was buy the part.  He left a lot of things out of his compaint like the fact that he thinks reverse and first gear are in the same spot, he actually told my service manager that. I personally asked him to take the vehicle somewhere else when we met after the initial repair because he was actually drawing me a diagram of gears in my office and almost nothing he said about how the vehicle operates was accurate.  He also bought the vehicle used from a different dealership so I have no idea if they reconditioned it before they sold it to him or how it was driven and treated before he purchased it. I'm the first to admit if we did something wrong, in this case it looks like he needs an automatic transmission instead of a stick shift. [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:That is a blatant lie. I was NEVER offered a free service! I would have gladly accepted that and that is not the case. Mid County you are more than welcome to make it right becuase we both know that you "offering to pay" for my service is the farthest from the truth that could have happened.
Sincerely,

It appears from the picture that the drain plug was replaced as that is definitely an OEM drain plug.  As well, it also appears that the blue substance is a marking fluid as described previously.  The RTV that we use (and wouldn't use on a drain plug) is always black.  That is the only color that it comes in that I am aware.  It is certainly possible that the marking fluid has been there for some time and could predate the two visits made to this facility.  That stuff is pretty durable!  Having said that, when Firestone changed the oil in the vehicle, did they find a problem with the drain plug?  I can't see from the picture that there is a leak.[redacted] D. [redacted]Service Director

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) called Mid County and asked us to perform an out-of-warranty brake repair for the owner.   We agreed and made arrangements to get the vehicle in.  We performed the brake repair and advised the customer the vehicle was ready for pick-up.  The...

customer expressed her dissatisfaction with the car and the dealership in such a manner that we thought it best that she not return.  We have no record of any visit to our service department prior to FCA asking us to do the repair.  Mid County made no promise of a loaner car to the customer, and any promises made to her from FCA were not relayed to us.  We did what FCA asked us to do.FCA has informed us that it has directed the customer to another dealership.

[redacted], Finance Director told the customer he would take care of the service he was complaining about having to pay for when he was here.  The offer is still good, we will gladly pay for the next oil change and tire rotation should he allow us to.

I am rejecting this response because:
I received a similar letter from Cowboy Dodge based on the same information that Mid County Dodge received and in their letter they made the offer at $11,600.  Quite a difference from the $15,000 which is above any value published by [redacted] Blue Book given year and car model.  I do understand that my vehicle has some wear and tear it's a Dodge Minivan.  As to not knowing, the trim model doesn't the dealer have that information on hand before it is sent out.  I sincerely doubt that this dealer would ever offer any individual a value for their trade in that is above the highest value in [redacted] Blue Book.  That is the dishonesty in advertising that needs to be corrected.By the way, the dealer told me that the advertising was done by Chrysler Corporation.  In my contact with Chrysler Corporation, they flatly deny that they were the source of the advertising. Where is the truth?
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I am very sorry for the issues you've had with your vehicle and with my service department.  The technician you are speaking of was bitten by a spider and missed a few days, he is now in the hospital and still not is back at work, we definitely didn't expect him to be out this long.  I...

know that's not your fault but it's out of our control as well.  I am being told by my service manager [redacted] that your vehicle was repaired and you've already picked up, let me know if that's not the case.  Unfortunately every Chrysler service dept, and every other service department I use in SE TX for my non CDJR vehicles is backed up and has been since the storm.  [redacted] should have called you, you shouldn't have had to keep calling her, for that I apologize and I will reprimand her and visit with her manager about this issue as well.  Other than that I don't see what we could have done differently to get your vehicle back to you faster than we did.  I will gladly take care of your next tire rotation and oil change for you and no charge, just see [redacted] when you bring the vehicle in and print out this message.  If you would like to visit any more about this issue call [redacted] at [redacted].  I hope you have a great week and I apologize again that you went through this.

Honestly, I do not know as I have never personally drained/changed the oil. As of late, some shops offer great prices and it is cheaper to use Firestone, for example, that purchasing oil and supplies from Wal-Mart and DIY
Just so it be known, I will have oil changes done elsewhere.

The company that sends this letter out gets the information they can legally get.  Unfortunately the only information they can get is the vehicle's year, make and model, the customer's name and address.  They do not have information such as condition of the vehicle, they do not know if it...

needs new tires or a windshield, they do not know if it's a base model or the highest trim level available.  They do not know how many miles are on it or if there has been damage done to the vehicle such as a wreck or dents and scratches.  Since they do not have this information they base their value on the miles being low, it doesn't need tires or a windshield, there is no damage to the vehicle and it's a high trim level.   This unit in particular is 2 years old and already had 69863 miles on it, which is very high for a 2012, that had a big impact on it's value.  It also needed tires, it also had some interior damage on the seat panel and the arm rest that needed to be repaired.
