Review: I had a doctor's bill that was coming close to overdue (I was in between jobs at the time and had some financial trouble). I got a nasty phone call from Mid Hudson Medical Group stating that they were sending my bill to collections immediately. I called them right back and, despite being hardly able to afford my groceries, paid off my balance. They didn't even offer the option of making a payment towards the bill, as I have seen with other practices in the past. Right then and there, I really felt a strong dislike for this company.. who was nothing more than that, a company that wants to make money as opposed to get you back to being healthy, like you'd THINK your doctor's office would (silly me for thinking this way).

This was last month. Now, just earlier today, I got a phone call from collections stating that they were collecting for Mid Hudson Medical Group... for a bill I had already paid a month ago!

I immediately called MHMG and got a completely lethargic sounding person on the phone. I had to repeat my name about 10x, which was frustrating, especially since I was ALREADY frustrated with them.

Eventually, after being transferred 2x, I learned that they took that payment and applied it to another person's account. So... my money was taken, given to someone else, my account was sent to collections (which will effect my credit), and I didn't even get an apology. If I were the billing representative on the phone speaking with me, I would have been extremely apologetic. This person didn't seem to care at all. I'd also like to add that after I paid my bill last month, I was never contacted again. They just sent my account on over to collections without warning me.

I am beyond infuriated with this place and disgusted with the way I was treated on the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like MHMG to repair this HUGE mistake they made by 1. posting the payment I made last month to MY account and 2. contacting the collections agency to notify them of their mistake so that my credit is not affected. I would also like a formal apology from someone in the management office.
