Mid-South insurance is targeting low-income and the elderly to reduce their insurable risks by claiming minor repairs make a roof uninsurable.On or about July 2, 2015, Mid-South insurance sent an inspector to 1641 Cooper St, Memphis TN and declared the roof in "poor" condition and uninsurable. The inspector took pictures of the roof, which do not reflect their claims that the roof is in "poor" condition. We notified the insurance company the roof was replaced in 2004. However, a couple of roof tiles have been professionally repaired and replaced. This is not uncommon. However, my complaint stems further in that Mid-South Insurance is targeting the low-income and senior citizens to reduce their insurance reserve/risk ratio. The poor are not able to fight back or address these unethical business practices. I further attest that MidSouth has unfairly deemed my roof uninsurable.Desired SettlementCease practices of targeting the poor / low-income and elderly by making false claims the roofs are uninsurable.
