Rudeness of Company Store ManagerRegarding Account Telephone number XXX-XXX-XXXXI purchased home phone service from Midsouth a week before Thanksgiving. I was informed by Calvin that the tech would be out the Friday before the holiday and if the area where The phone box is located is accessible I don't have to be at home. The tech from AT&T came by he left a card on the door. I called and spoke to Calvin I explained the appointment was missed and my patio was accessible for tech to enter he stated he would reschedule appointment and call back not once during the call did he explain reason why tech couldn't enter. I called back the store manager answered I explained my problem she became very rude stating someone need to be at the home I explained to her Calvin informed if my gate is accessible no one had to be here she stated that was true. She didn't once state at all the reason why he could not enter. My boyfriend called and spoke to the manager to determine a resolution she then explained tech couldn't enter because My phone box was in the unit next door gate which was locked. I called back and expexplained to her she should have indicated the reason why tech couldn't enter. She stated appointment was rescheduled for tech to return before the holiday she stated AT&T next available was Monday 11/30. I explained to her I work a full time job from 8-430 and I couldn't just sit at home I request that she have the tech call prior to arrival she became very rude stating she has no control over AT&T procedure. I ask for her manager information her response to me was I'm the manager she refused to give me any information. Monday 11/30 I arrived at my home at 10:30 I called midsouth around 11 the store manager answered I informed her the tech haven't arrived she placed me on hold to call AT&T she came back and indicated the tech noted he arrived at 11 no one was home I explained to her I was at my home during that time I explained I didn't hear a knock at the door or received a phone call. She then became very argumentative stating I would need to be home to get service she wasn't understaing of the fact that the tech didn't knock on the door or call. Again I asked for her manager info she kept stating I am the manager Desired SettlementI would like to be contacted by whomever the store manager reports to.Business Response I am familiar with this event because I overheard Ms. [redacted] and my manager Tonya J[redacted] speaking. Ms. [redacted] omitted several of the facts of this case. Ms. [redacted] came into our location on J[redacted] Ave on 11/16 to place an order for home phone service. After placing the order we were advised that a technician would have to go to the property's DMark box to manually activate the service. Ms. [redacted] was made aware of this and that the date of 11/20 was given to her as the date the technician would arrive. AT&T does not give us a time of the day that the technician will arrive. We also advised Ms. [redacted] that as long as there was access to the DMark box and there were no dogs then she would not need to be there for the technician. Apparently the technician arrived on 11/20 and discovered that Ms. [redacted]'s DMark box was in fact on her neighbors property and the neighbor has a dog. We informed Ms. [redacted] of this development and also advised her that AT&T issued a new date of 11/23 and then subsequently changed the date to 11/30 because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Ms. [redacted] was told that she needed to make arrangements with her neighbor to have their dog put up so that the technician could access the property. I was in the office and overheard the conversation and how Ms. [redacted] escalated the situation once she was told what was in fact going on. Mid-South Home Phone has no control over when a AT&T technician will show up (they do not call ahead - even though we wish they would). Mid-South Home Phone has no control over Ms. [redacted] work schedule either. My manager handled the situation as trained but it appeared Ms. [redacted] did not want to accept the procedures AT&T has in place. Ms. [redacted] home phone service is currently working. Consumer Response Whoever is responding to my complaint is not the person who the store manager is required to report to. The store manager may have been following company procedure. But she was very rude I asked for her manager to call me and have not receive a response again she refused to provide her managers information. I'm sure the person respnding is either the store manager or Calvin. I will get in contact with their manager. I will continue to file complaints until I receive a call.
