Horrible, unprofessional service.
I had an appointment with them Saturday morning and they never showed. I have a 3 story town house, fully furnished and we moved everything off the floors, cleaned and vacuumed in preparation for them , and they were a no show.
I called several times and left two messages regarding my appointment, and here I am Monday afternoon and still have not heard from the company. No apology, no call back, no attempt what so ever to remedy the situation. What a waste of a Saturday!

I paid for a voucher to get sofa/loveseat cleaning from Midtown Carpet for 89.00, it was pre-paid.They were going to charge $35.00 for travel.I pre-paid $89.00 thru [redacted] to get sofa/loveseat cleaning with Midtown Carpet. When I set up the appointment for them to come they said that [redacted] was outside their service area (which includes [redacted]) and that I would be charged extra. Where I reside in [redacted] is an area which borders [redacted], is in an apt. complex, has local bus service running every 15-20 minutes and is within [redacted] County and not in a rural. They were going to charge $35.00 extra which was advertised. Desired SettlementI want a refund.More info received from the consumer 2014-07-08I realized that I left out a word, Midtown carpets did not tell me how much the extra charge would be. The refund part of this issue has been solved, since I originally purchased a voucher for Midtown Carpet Care's service from [redacted].com). I also called [redacted] to see if they could assist me and [redacted] will be giving me the refund. However I would still like my complaint on Midtown Carpet to be noted. They should inform and/or advertise to any potential client that they will charge $35 transportation outside their service area. Also maybe they should change drop [redacted] as being in their service area since it is so far from their home office area. I purchased a carpet cleaning with a truck mount system but they used a portable system instead. It didn't clean well and I had to hire another co.2/11/14 service date. I specifically asked if they had a truck mount system to clean the carpets, which they said they did. Then they came with a portable unit and it did not come clean. I had to hire another company to re-clean the carpets and get the stains out, which they did with a truck mount system. Initially, Midtown said they would give us a refund back to our credit card but then they never returned my calls. We spent $249.62 with them and used [redacted]. They also damaged our surge suppressor that was behind the washing machine. I don't know why the techs plugged in thbut when they unplugged, it quit working. Desired SettlementFull refund of $249.62 plus $40 reimbursement for surge protector. Business Response We do have a truck mount however prior to her scheduled cleaning it needed to be serviced due to a heavily soiled job. We proceeded on to the said customers residence using a high powered commercial portable as back up. The properties carpet was heavily sullied and needed to simply be replaced. Our guys spent time and effort trying to bring one area back to life. Upon completing the job [redacted] was very satisfied and scheduled an appointment to have her home cleaned a week later. She had an issue only after finding out that we had to use our commercial portable cleaner under the circumstances. Before we scheduled the initial appointment [redacted] stated that she had several properties and asked for a discount on top of the one we had already given her because of course she would use our company to service all of her properties when needed. She stated that she had several carpet cleaners come out before contacting us to clean the same property and all were unsuccessful at removing the heavily soiled areas. We did speak with her in regards to giving her half of her money backdue to fact that it was a week later and that our technicians put a lot of time, effort and specialty cleaners to attempt to deep clean the stains given the condition. Obviously [redacted] was not pleased with the offer and verbally threatened that she would give our company bad reviews on every social media site possible. Final Consumer Response The merchant's response if full of inaccuracies. First, I had not had any carpet companies come clean the carpet prior to calling Midtown. I told them the tenants had the carpets cleaned but it was not with a truck mount system so did not do a good job. They agreed truck mount was the best and confirmed that's what they would use on my property. If they did not confirm they had truck mount, I would not have used them. I've been in the rental property business for 22 years and will only use truck mount. I did not schedule my personal home to be cleaned after they cleaned the carpets at our rental property. I was not very satisfied with the cleaning of the carpets. I was quite shocked that the stains did not come out as usually a truck mount system with steaming hot water can get anything out, in our 22 years of experience. The carpet is only a couple years old, so definitely not in need of replacing. I only understood after the techs told me the truck mount system was broken. They further advised the owners really needed to get it fixed as it was far superior for removing stains (as I already knew). Then I hired a company with a truck mount system and the stains came out. The carpet now looks great. The rep from Midtown told me she would talk with [redacted] regarding the refund amount and get back to me and she never did. I left several messages and never threatened to give them bad reviews on every social media site possible. I stated if they were unwilling to remedy their error, that I would put my experience on [redacted] and contact the Revdex.com, which I did. It's important that other consumers are aware of their business practices. If you go to [redacted], you will see 4 of their 5 reviews are bad (one is from me). I wish I had gone to [redacted] prior to using them and I would have seen the bad reviews and stayed clear.Final Business Response As we all well know when dealing with consumers you cannot and simply will not please everyone especially when deals are involved, however, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and will continue to move forward while learning from our trial and errors. Overall the consumer was pleasant to speak with and we greatly appreciate her business. We at Midtown value our customers, stand behind our product and will continue to provide quality services.
