Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/12/22) */
Dear Revdex.com,
By email on 12/21/XX X:XXPM
Deposit was returned within daysCheck was mailed on 12/01/Tenant returned keys after hours on 11/19/Check was mailed to the address that the tenant gave usThe address the tenant gave
us was not a valid addressThe street number and the zip code were incorrect
The tenant called our office on 12/11/Tenant said spoke with someone not authorized to give out deposit information so the tenant became irritatedTenant's call was returned by a managerAfter speaking to tenant, it was determined that the address the tenant gave us was wrongThe check had not cleared the bankI voided the check, reissued the check on the same dayPer the tenant's request, I held the check in the office for the tenant to pick up the check in person rather than mail it
The check was picked up on 12/14/
When the check was picked up the breakdown was provided to the tenantThe breakdown information is pre-entered in the computer with the date the deposit should be mailedWe normally change this date when the deposit is actually mailedThis did not happen with this deposit return
There was a hole in the wall behind the laundry room/garage door handle that had been repairedThe repair looked like it was probably done properlyHowever, the door handle had been put through the wall again after the repair was done so a new hole was in the wall at the time the tenant moved outThe charge was not due to poor workmanship, the charge was due to a new hole in the wallI explained this to the tenant several times but she did not seem to understand
I believe this issue is settled at this timeThe tenant does have her check and the break down

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/09/28) */
Customer States: Mid-Valley failed to return deposit. Response: Tenant left owing a balance.
Customer States: Mid-Valley charged for pre-existing damages. Response: I spoke many times with [redacted] and he never stated to me that Mid-Valley...

Property Management charged for pre-existing damages. [redacted] failed to turn in a Move in walk through sheet listing any damages at the time of move-in. As this is the first time I am hearing that Mid-Valley is charging for pre-existing conditions, I would like to know what items are being disputed as pre-existing. There is very little on the move-out that could be pre-existing.
Customer States: (abridged) On 04/30/15 we surrendered our keys and interest to the property located at [redacted]. [redacted] asked if there was anything she needed to sign. Response: Not in dispute. These are true statements. [redacted] did sign the key return information.
Customer States: Mid-Valley failed to notify us within 21 days. Response: Not true - The tenants turned in a 30 day notice that ended on 05/15/15. Rent was charged to that date. The 21 days would end on 06/06/15. An estimated accounting was sent on 06/05/15. A second accounting was sent on 06/22/15. A third and final accounting was sent on 07/02/15.
Customer States: They made up notices and charged us for item that were previously damaged. Response: Notices were not made up. I am still unsure of items previously damaged.
Customer States: Pet Deposit was used for non-pet damage. Response: Pet deposit was applied toward cleaning.
Customer States: Recite with no title. Response: I do not understand what that means.
Customer States: Legal document that were covered with liquid paper. Response: Occasionally, that does happen. We catch an error and correct it by hand with [redacted]-out, It does not mean that we are being fraudulent in any way.
Customer States: We have tried to resolve this matter with Mid-Valley Response: This is true. We spoke on several occasions. The result of the conversations was that Mid-Valley Property Management wrote off $103.60 that had been originally charged to the tenant, Mid-Valley Property Management spoke with the owner of the property on more than one occasion. The owner of the property was not willing to make any further concession. Offers were made by [redacted] that he would accept $1000.00 to drop the matter, The owner refused this offer. No other offer was made by [redacted].
Resolution: Customer wants $1495,00 Response: At this time the customer owes us $252.47 Originally the customer owed $356.07 but as previously stated a credit was applied of $103,60 At this time should [redacted] and [redacted] wish to drop the matter the owner would write off the $252.47.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/10/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
as we can see in this matter this company mid valley continues to introduce new damages that were not included in the original receipts and continues to fail to comply with housing law. It is now clear that we will have to take this matter to the courts and see what can be done about this matter. It was our hope that we could have settle this matter out of court with Mid valley and current home owners. thank you Revdex.com for helping with this matter.
