To whom it may concern, Mr. originally had front brakes done 3/30/18 invoice # ***, rear brake service declined. Returned 8/22/19 with a complaint of steering wheel shake when applied. Replaced rotors invoice # 1870290. On 2/23/19 vehicle came in for an oil change and stated it wobbles at low speeds. Found it needed tires and recommended struts and shocks be replaced. Also noted the rear brakes needed service. Customer declined at this time. Returned 3/29/19 stating it was pulsating when stopping, replaced rotors and brake pads invoice # ***. On 7/18/19 vehicle was brought in to replace struts and shocks. Invoice # ***. On 7/22/19 vehicle was brought back in stating it was making a grind sound on turns. No mention of something broken or vehicle felt unsafe to drive. Appeared to be a defective bearing plate at top of strut. Replaced with a new unit. Invoice #***. On 7/26/19 vehicle brought back making the noise again from right front strut. Called Monroe support to discuss issue with noise. Found when replacing the unit the technician noted the orientation of the mounting plate was different on the replacement unit than the original, so he rotated to match what came off vehicle. The unit was designed different than original and should not have been rotated. We replaced the unit with a new one and did not rotate it to match. We explained this to Mr.. On 8/30/19 Mr. brought vehicle in stating he has a pulsation again, and is hearing a noise. He stated that he gets it at higher speeds, that he is on the highway all the time and that is when he is experiencing it. We explained that it is hard for us to get up to highway speeds around our shop, but we would do what we could to recreate it. Trying to experience what Mr. was, the technician took the vehicle out on an hour long test drive to the highway. Came back and said he didn't hear or feel anything out of the ordinary. When I called Mr. to get more information on exactly when this was happening because we didn't experience anything from the front, that it may be the rear brakes causing an issue, he became very short with me and said of course you didn’t, I knew you wouldn't, I'm picking up my vehicle and taking it somewhere else. When the vehicle was picked up, it was explained that he could take it to any Midas location for an inspection. We feel that we have tried to resolve the issue, but without experiencing it, we cannot determine a cause. The rear brakes are needed and could be the cause, the rear wheel bearings are making a noise when rolling, but also have been declined. We have felt the issue in the past and did address the problem. On 9-16-19 called Mr. at 9:32am on phone number he left as daytime contact. Went to voicemail. Left message to call to discuss. Did not hear back. At 3:45pm on 9-16-19 called again, again went to voicemail. Left message explaining that we were trying to find out exactly what the issue is and set a time for him and the technician to go on a test drive together to try and resolve the problem. As of 2:40pm on Wednesday 9-18-19. I have not heard from Mr.. Sincerely, Ronald *** Owner Midas Auto Service Berwyn, IL 60402

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:iI had all four new tires installed and took my car to another mechanic to have rear bearings replaced and were fixed right the first time I also had him check the back brakes and was told they should be changed but not really an issue but as he took it for test drive I was informed that I do have issues with front brakes vibrating and front suspension having issues not taking bumps as should a vehicle with new struts but could not examine further so as not to void midas warranty soi took it back to midas and was told nothing was wrong and I set my computer timer when I dropped car off to zero and car was driven for 20 minutes not an hour as claimed so no I do not accept their response . they are trying to blame their incompetent work on other problems so as to get more money which I will never spend another dime in this establishment . the shop
where I had my rear bearings done is an excellent shop have not had any issues my car unlike midas I have so many returns and missed work days its unbelievable
Sincerely,

Domingo
