Midas #1171

Good Day,On March 8th of 2016 Ms. [redacted] was towed in to us with a no start issue. Customer approved Midas doing a diagnostic on the vehicle, our technician found fuel pressure to be at 30 psi with key on(engine not running), Ford advises that normal pressure is between 35-45psi, based on this we...

recommended to replace the fuel pump assembly(during our diagnostic we cleared out all of the fuel lines, which has allowed the weak fuel pump to get fuel to engine for it run). While the van was at our shop we were able to start the car, customer was advised about our findings and what it would take to fix it, she was also advised that the car did start while the van was in our shop. Customer drove off to another repair facility as she had given a price lower then ours.Don't understand why customer is upset as she did drive the van off from Midas after diagnostic was completed, she was advised about the findings and that the van did start during our time with it.  If the van has not had any similar issues, then that's great, but we communicated what our findings were at the time when the van was towed in for a no start issue, we don't understand what Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is.We take pride in our work and always base our recommendations on evidence that we have based of test etc, done on customer cars, if Ms. [redacted]'s fuel pump is still working then that is great, but during our time we did have a loss in fuel pressure and based of this evidence we recommended replacement of fuel pump, again vehicle did start during our time with vehicle and she was advised about this.Please  advise if there is any additional information needed in regards to this complaint.
