Review: Months ago I went to Midas to have my oil changed and the checked the water in the radiator and it caused the car to over heat and ruined the air conditioner. I was forced to have them fix it. It cost me thousand dollars to have repaired. It was the fault of midas and they were charging me. I had the car fixed and contacted the Automotive bureau and they contacted Midas. The gentleman helped me collect 200 dollars of the one thousand. After a few months I needed a bushing fixed on my car and went to a reputable dealer and he told me that I am leaking Freon from the radiator that should not be happening for a newly repaired car. I went to Midas and the manager said that he was not going to help me and that he will never touch the car again, even though he did not fix it properly the first time! Thank You, [redacted]

This customer came to our facility on 8/12/2012 and got a repair on his a/c performed. The charge from our facility was $420.52 with tax. This charge was only for labor, as the customer supplied the parts for the repair. I am not aware of where the parts were purchased from by the customer. After this repair there was a complaint filed by the customer through the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. Following a thorough investigation by BAR, the complaint was dismissed. In the interest of customer satisfaction we decided refund a portion of the labor charged for the repair. I also have a receipt of this refund to this customer on February 6, 2013 for $222. The customer was asked not to return for future repairs due to some heated exchanges and a concern for being able to properly service his needs. The customer did come into the store a couple of days ago and was informed that we would be unable to service his needs here. There is an implied/stated warranty given for 90days on our labor, and it was just over a year ago the repairs were performed (8/12/2012 - 8/13/2013). If there is a warranty on the parts installed, the customer would have to go directly to the parts store he purchased the parts from, we are unable to warranty the parts through our store. At this time, I regret to say that we will be unable to service this particular customer due to being out of warranty, and concern for verbal exchanges that are unrelated to the repair.
