To whom it may concern: The complaint filed by *** *** is unsurprisingly missing some very important facts The vehicle was brought to us because another garage had installed a clutch master cylinder and a clutch slave cylinder and he had problems with the work done by that garage
That garage never bled the system properly and on top of it the clutch slave they had installed was leaking Due to that the clutch pedal was bad and the vehicle was very hard to shift and drive We bled the air out of the clutch master and then replaced the clutch slave We test drove the truck and everything felt good so he paid and picked it upTwo days later I got a call from *** stating the clutch pedal still felt good but the vehicle would not shift The problem the vehicle currently has is inside the actual transmission where the shifter is linked, not inside the bell housing where the clutch slave is I informed *** that I could remove the transmission to see what the problem was, but there is no question the issue is inside the transmission at that point, which would mean it is unrelated to anything we had done, as we never opened the actual transmission At that point *** said he would likely end up scrapping the truck because the frame is getting soft and he told me not to worry about A few days went by and I was notified through Midas corporate that there was a complaint about his truck I called *** and he said he didn't know anything about it and his wife must have done it without him knowing He told me he would call Midas and resolve the complaint and that he understood the current problem was not caused by work we had done I had no idea a complaint was filed with Revdex.com until today when I received the notice in the mailI called *** today and he once again stated he would call to resolve the complaint as he understood any shifting issue inside the transmission was unrelated to what we had done, and if anything was related to the work done by a previous garage and being driven with a bad clutch pedal which made the vehicle difficult to shift I made an offer to *** that if he would like to buy a used transmission I would cover the labor for him and he stated the truck was not worth it The complaint filed by ***s wife is incredibly inaccurate, and the idea that I am taking advantage of her in any form because "she is ***" is absolutely absurd I have never once met or spoken to this woman, there is no possible way I would ever know she is *** and her being *** has absolutely no relevance to anything.*** ***Manager, Midas of Bangor, ME***
