[redacted] We had [redacted] 's van in the shop on 3-23-and it had codes stored in it and they were *** which is a miss fire on cylinder and [redacted] which is a small evap leak detected, so we quoted her a tune up with a plenum gasket and told her that's where we had to start because that is what was stored in the vehicle and that there may be other issues but the tune up we could actually say % is needed and we drove it and not once could we get it to do what she said it was doingShe gave the approval to do the tune up and go from thereWe did exactly what we could do to start with and she knew that and agreed at that timeIf a vehicle does not do what they were claiming at the time we are checking it out it is impossible to find anything other than what was stored in the ecmWe are sorry for her but did nothing wrong in what we didThanks Steve S [redacted] - owner

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I feel I was treated wrong when I even stepped foot in the doorMy vehicle was in their shop for less than hours so I don't doubt the check engine light did not come on when you drive it for less than minutesYou led me to believe the problem of the vehicle shutting off was fixed when it clearly wasntThe part you put in had to be replaced because it was an old part says the company who took care of us and kept the vehicle for over a week to make sure it was safe for myself and my childrenYou degraded me and embarrassed me and I had to pay well over a thousand dollars to fix something you should have fixed correctly the first timeI would like to be refunded so I can pay that bill for the current shop who IS taking care of us Regards, [redacted] ***

She gave the approval to do the tune up and go from there. We did exactly what we could do to start with and she knew that and agreed at that time. If a vehicle does not do what they were claiming at the time we are checking it out it is impossible to find anything other than what was stored in the ecm. My vehicle was in their shop for less than 6 hours so I don't doubt the check engine light did not come on when you drive it for less than 30 minutes. You led me to believe the problem of the vehicle shutting off was fixed when it clearly wasnt. The part you put in had to be replaced because it was an old part says the company who took care of us and kept the vehicle for over a week to make sure it was safe for myself and my children.
