Review: On ** November 2015, I was quoted $569.92 by Ralph an employee Midas for a set of four new CS3 Touring tires for my 2008 Saturn Vue. Ralph stated that the aforementioned price included wheel balancing and alignment. In addition, I requested and scheduled an oil change and a New York State Inspection. I informed Ralph I needed this work done because, I had accepted a Command position at Patrick, AFB located in Florida and that I would be driving there on Sunday, ** November, 2015. On ** November, 2015, I dropped my vehicle off at 07:30 when Midas opened for business. Ralph was not there but a gentlemen named Jay was. I asked Jay if he was familiar with my scheduled service to which he replied, “yes.” I reconfirmed with Jay the pricing quoted by Ralph on the previous day to which he replied, “my computer is just booting up. Whatever Ralph told you is correct.” When I returned to pick up my vehicle on ** November, 2015 at 12:50 Jay informed me that I would be charged $89.99 for wheel balancing and alignment. Before, I could reply, Jay when onto inform me that Midas could not perform my New York State Inspection due to my check engine light being illuminated. Jay told me they placed my vehicle on their diagnostic commuter and I would have to have a Timing Chain, two Timing Solenoids, new Transmission Fluid, A/T Filter Kit and Rear Ultra Truck Shocks installed before my vehicle would pass inspection. Jay told me that just for the Timing Chain alone the cost would be approximately $1,300.00 and six hours of labor. I was incredulous and informed Jay that what he just told me did not sound correct. I declined all of the additional work and informed Jay that I did not believe that I should have to pay for wheel balancing and alignment. Jay replied, “if you do not pay, I cannot release your vehicle.” In order to avoid a confrontation, I paid the entire over inflated bill totaling $702.70. As soon as I came home, I called the Midas Corporate Office at ###-###-####. They gave me a Reference # [redacted] and informed me that someone from management would contact me within forty-eight hours. On Wednesday, ** November, 2015. I took my vehicle to Newburgh Auto Repair. The technician placed diagnosed the cause of my check engine light a faulty oxygen sensor, costing $152.00.When I did not hear from Midas, I called again on ** November 2015 and provided my reference number. I was informed that I would back soon from someone, which I have not.

Review: Brought my vehicle in for a basic oil change that includes tire rotation. I also asked for the 4 tires to be balanced at 9am. I was told would be done promptly but I decided to leave the vehicle there and go shopping. At approximately 130pm I noticed my car directly next to me on the street(I was in my wife's car) and it was driven by a mechanic. To my utter disbelief it was completely filled with tires inside my car front and back seat. I immediately called Midas. This is what I was told. My vehicle was used to pick up tires authorized by the manager because he needed them. He was not remorseful at all. Just said he was sorry and he would make sure the car was not dirty.Desired Settlement: I truly believe this business should correct their employees with proper training and disciplinary acting against the manager on duty. It was completely irresponsible and ethically wrong

Sign on the window says $19.95 oil change. Got mailed a $5.00 off oil change coupon and sent my father to get it done for me. They not only lied to him and still charged him $19.95 for it + an unnecessary service for $30.00 on my vehicle but never honored the coupon. Called them and they stated an oil change is 24.95 and their corporate gives them $5 rebate to make the price $19.95. BUT NOOOOO. It is already advertised at 19.95 so if should be 14.95. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. NONE. SECOND TIME IVE EXPERIENCED TERRIBLE SERVICE AND THE LAST FROM THIS PLACE.
