Review: I took my 2010 Jeep Cherokee Laredo in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. The mechanic completely stripped one of my lug nuts on the front passenger side tire to the point that the tire cannot be removed. The store manager (I assume - or the person working the counter) told me that they could not remove the tire because it was stripped so bad. He then informed me that it would cost $90/hr. for them to remove it.My complaint is that the issue of stripping the lug nut, a routine process for this shop, was caused by the business, who then in turn is going to charge me to fix their mistake. All I would like is for the mistake to be fixed at no cost to me, as it was not my wrong doing. Also, their mistake can be dangerous to me and more costly in the future should I have a flat tire because the tire cannot be removed due to the stripped lug nut.I think that charging a customer for a problem caused by the business itself is bad business practices and does not reflect well the purpose of the business of repairing and maintaining vehicles.Desired Settlement: All I would like is for the business to fix what they damaged and have the lug nut removed and replaced. I do not see it fit for me to pay in both dollars and time damage caused by the business.

Review: On September/06/2014, I went to MIDAS at 3125 N Causeway BLVD, Metairie, LA-70002, Phone: ###-###-####. The owner office of that MIDAS is [redacted], and the spoke person on behalf of the owner was [redacted] Phone: ###-###-####.I went there (MIDAS: 3125 N Causeway BLVD) based on the offer (by the manager) to repair my muffler free of charge that was previously done by MIDAS in Indiana was not working.Once I reach with my car, the manager ([redacted]) refused to do it free excusing that was custom made by other MIDAS. Upon complain, the owner refunded me and mentioned that the manager should have not done so. But, there was greater issue remained unsolved. After long hours of repair and oil-fuel change, when the car was hanging up suddenly the manager asked me go with him and he showed that the break-fluid is JUST leaking heavily. And, soon it was completely drained out and the manager said I had to pay at least $600 to check it and I have to come other day as they are closing soon. And, I had to tow my car to home as there is not break on the car as a result of the complete drain out.I drove my car and went to MIDAS with no problem but the muffler noise, MIDAS broke my break-line and sent me home at my expenses with a broken down car by them. Upon complain and complain, the manager came up with lies saying it was leaking before. He fabricated that he showed me at the parking area it was complete lie, he did not show anything when it was parked and there was no oil-leak when it was parked. The manager was behaving strange which made sense later. For example, when the destruction was done he put the car in the same parking area then move it somewhere else, checked the ground (checking for oil leak perhaps found nothing) and then again park it back to the same place as it was initially parked. Also, when the oil was leaking heavily on the platform, he was admitting that it is just coming out then and he did not know what the oil is (as if that was his first day at work) and he could not explain how it was happening. Also, surprisingly when the tow-truck driver came, he informed me that tow-truck driver came to this place before almost for the same reason. A person came with a good car like me and then MIDAS asked him to go home with a tow-truck after working on the car. Of course, I am not relying on someone elses case to support mine. In my case, it is simply crystal clear that MIDAS broke my break-line. I contacted the MIDAS corporate office almost every week and I was given wait period from 48 hours to 24 hours to few hours times to call me back but it NEVER happened they all collectively played with me (I have the detailed records) they all avoided me and it went that way for the last 3 to 4 months. Also, as I removed the insurance from the broken car to save in the mean-time I was also sent $825 dollar fine by the road-authority recently. Anyway, the corporate office told me that the owner of that MIDAS branch said the case is closed as they refunded me I requested them to reopen because the refund was for the muffler, not for breaking my break-line and dismantle my car. Since the, there is not responses from the MIDAS. I am a professor and busy teaching I do not expect this kind to harassment and rip off. I see there is no body to stand against this kind of rip off. I experienced that Revdex.com is weak in solving problem previously for some other cases, I did not get any result but excuses and apologies from Revdex.com. This time, I would like to see some result I am being ripped off heavily and this is intolerable.Desired Settlement: MIDAS must repair my car at their own expense.MIDAS must tow my car from my home at their own expenses, repair and then return - all done my them at their own cost.If I have to pay the penalty to BMV ($825) - MIDAS must pay that as well.For the last 4 months I suffered a lot for the broken car - MIDAS must give be free services related to that car for rest of the 2 years.But, I never like to go to the MIDAS branch at "3125 N Causeway BLVD, Metairie, LA-70002".
