I am rejecting this response because: I have no reasons to trust this company with the vehicle that I drive because I believe that instead of them being concerned with my safety and well being their only concern is the money that can get from meI spent $500+ for brand new tires, wheel alignment, balance and more only to have to pay again for more brand new tires after monthsI have spoken with numerous auto mechanics and were told that before wheel alignments and balance and new tires are put they have to check ball bearing and which case did no such thing otherwise I would have had procedure done at that time, nothing was said to meI do not trust them as a company and what I am asking is for to give back the money for the wheel alignment, balance and the tires in the front so I can take my business somewhere else I feel like standing by there products should take president over over greedI am a very unhappy customer and all I want is my money back

Business states that they are aware of the customer complaint. Consumer has contacted Midas Corporate with her grievance and  they found her requests unreasonable. Business states that they have already offered a more than reasonable resolution. If the consumer was willing to pay for the right...

side, the business would have(out of no obligation), taken care of the left side(at no cost to her)  to ensure even wear. Consumer rejected the offer and believes the business should absorb all costs as they should somehow be able to predict future product malfunction. That is not possible. Business offer only stood for two weeks but is  no longer available as it was only good for two weeks.

Review: I have had my car regularly serviced at Midas. It was in April 2016 for an oil change. In June 2016 the check engine light came on. I took it to Midas to have it diagnosed for $90. Car was running fine, not sure why it came on. Got call from Midas that they could not find any issue with the code that stated the engine was misfiring. Asked if I had changed my spark plugs, I said no, they recommended that service as a fix since they could find no issue. I authorized the repair. 2 days later, the check engine light came on again. I made an appt to bring it back in. During that time my clutch was not releasing properly. When I took the car in I talked to [redacted] I asked if the clutch could be the issue. He said he did not think so, but they would check the clutch and and check the clutch fluid. I got a call that the valve cover was malfunctioning and it would be $450 to fix. I authorized repairs and picked up the car. 2 days later, driving home from work, the clutch on the car froze and was not able to be pushed in. I had car towed home. I went and talked to [redacted] at Midas and I asked if he checked the clutch. He said he pushed it in and it worked. I told him that he said he would check the fluid. He backtracked and said they did that, but I do not believe them. If they had done any kind of inspection this should not have happened.Desired Settlement: I think that I should be refunded the $90 inspection fee and the cost of replacing spark plugs that did not need to be replaced. There was more issue with the car and they did not take the time to accurately diagnose the problem.

Review: On 10/15/14 I took my car to Midas in Stockton, CA and they did a full diagnostic check on my car, they found that I needed a new water pump. I agreed for them to change my water pump and while they were servicing my car they told me that I could use a new serpentine belt because it looked a little worn, but it may last for another six months. I decided to change it because MIDAS said that I didn't have to pay for additional labor charges. I went home after having the work done, which is about 4 blocks away and didnt drive the car until 10/20/14. Upon driving to work on 10/20/14, I heard this loud squealing noise, and then upon arriving at my job a battery light came on. When I pulled over and shut the car off it did not want to turn back on, the battery was dead. My tow service was able to charge my battery and I drove to the nearest auto zone. [redacted] did a battery and alternator check and the worker said that both were working fine, but it appeared that the tension of the serpentine belt was too tight and was put on incorrectly on the pulley and that it was causing my alternator not to work properly. He also noticed a burnt smell and the noise coming from the belt. The next morning, 10/21/14 I called MIDAS and brought the car in. I let them know the situation. They checked my car and then said that the belt is on fine and my alternator JUST went out. I asked the MIDAS worker why would it suddenly go out after a diagnostic check said everything was fine and I NEVER had any issues with my car starting, my battery or my alternator before they worked on my car, plus my car only has 40k miles on it, but the guy didn't listen and just said I needed to pay him to fix the alternator. I then filed a complaint with Midas Corporate office and they had the owner call me. [redacted] called me and right off was very rude and protective of his shop. [redacted] said he could come to my house and look at my car and he didnt want me to come to his shop because he wanted to keep this under the table. I hesitated, but then agreed. [redacted] and his worker named Mike came on 10/25/14 to my house and looked at the belt and my alternator. And ofcourse [redacted] said he doesnt see anthing wrong with my belt and that it is just a coincidence that my alternator went out immediately after leaving his shop. He said he could fix it, but I would have to pay for the service. Midas either purposely damaged my alternator or it got damaged because the belt was not properly installed. Either way they need to reimburse me for my time and for the new alternator I had to purchase.Desired Settlement: I would like Midas to refund the money I paid them to repair my car as they have caused me nothing but hardship. This shop has caused me time and money as I had to miss work for several days because my only transportation was damged or sabotaged by their shop. Also, if possible I would like to be refunded for the money I had to pay for the new alternator and labor fees to have my alternator replaced. I refused to take my car back to Midas to fix my alternator, where it was damaged/sabotaged.
