Midas's of Tucson

On 08/15/2016 I took my vehicle to Midas to be checked out because my A/C was not working properly and since I was sold a "Neighborhood Car Care Specials" card I gave it a try. To my surprise after an extensive and thoroughly inspection, the manager and the mechanic advised me that my entire A/C system was damage and needed to be replace. The manager provided me with a quote of and outrageous $2,100.00 with my MILITARY discount included. He even provided me with the credit application to pay for the repairs and get monthly payments to pay for it. I told the manager that I had to talk over with my wife and will tell him in a couple of days, 2 maximum. My wife said to take the vehicle to the dealership and ask for their opinion, and so I did the next morning I took my vehicle to them and set up an appointment for the following day. To my surprise, they said that I had a dry rotted cable that was not making any kind of connection to the A/C compressor and that they would change it if I agreed. The total cost for the repair would not even compare to what the MIDAS wanted, it was and astonishing $112.00 with my Military discount. I would have paid almost 20 times more in the MIDAS shop. They are SCAMMING people in the shop.
I wrote this complaint because it is the second time something similar happened to me and do not know how many people they defrauded already. I threw away the first estimate and the credit application because I was mad at this place. However only because we already had the "Neighborhood Car Care Specials" card I gave it another opportunity, with an Oil Change ONLY. What could they do wrong?, Well on 09/20/2016, "They" ended up giving me another estimate of my second vehicle to replace the Rack and Pinion for a total of $1,214.72 to what my wife decline right away and told them to only do the oil change. After my wife took the vehicle home, she called me and said that the "Check Engine" light came up. I told my wife to get to an Autozone because they tell you what is wrong with the vehicle if it has the check engine light on. The employee from Autozone gave my wife the details of the inspection and there it was, MIDAS did it again, they mess around with the Engine Oil Pressure sensor just because we did not wanted to perform the repairs they wanted. I hope somebody could do an audit on this business and get some justice to the customers, if it happened twice to me (the estimates), how many people would have fall for this?, And we suppose to believe them? What guarantee we have that they are doing the RIGHT thing?
