While the medical clinic may claim that they did nothing wrong, it is still a PERCEPTION, not only by me--but via others on Yelp--that the clinic's practices, advertising, and demands of $for cash are misleading, unclear, and, frankly, outdated What clinic in the DC / MD / VA NE Capital Region would not serve FEDERAL EMPLOYEES, the backbone of the Nation's Capital? Nevertheless, I received SUPERIOR PATIENT CARE from [redacted] ***, Alexandria, VA, and will continue to seek treatment there in the state of Virginia!I will be sure to spread the word about how poorly this "...private urgent care..." clinic manages its affairs, and urge people not to frequent the place! We are in receipt of the above mentioned complaint against MidAtlantic Urgent Care, LLC (MAUC) in Arlington, VAHere is our response to this complaint:| discussed this incident with the receptionist that was involved after receiving the attached email complaint from Ms"*"This receptionist has
been with MAUC since our opening in September working as full time front desk lead receptionistShe is well aware of our policies as well as the insurances We accept and do not acceptMs"*" arrived at MAUC with registration paperWork in hand on December 13, at approximately 3:pmOn arrival our receptionist Collected Ms"*'s paperwork as well as insurance cardWhen presented with a *** *** insurance card our receptionist informed Ms* that we are not participating providers with *** *** so she would be required to pay $as a self pay fee and we would, as a courtesy, submit her visit to *** *** for her reimbursementWe inform ALL *** *** patients of this policy as we have not been participating providers since May 18, As you can see from the attached email, Ms"*" by her own words, "SNATCHED" the completed form from my receptionist and left the officeA short time later received her complaint email regarding her encounter at the front desk(Attached)Our website states that we accept MOST TYPES OF INSURANCE, there is NO *** logo listed under our participating insurances, nor is *** *** listed anywhere on our website as a participating insuranceI have attached both the page of participating insurance as well as the paragraph stating our participation with MOST insurances and "if there are questions to call the office".MidAtlantic Urgent Care is a privately owned urgent careWe are not governed by any hospital or urgent care networkWe have the right to participate or not participate with any or all insurances.To this end, I am sorry that Ms* had such an unfavorable encounter but feel that MidAtlantic Urgent Care in no way did anything inappropriate to warrant this complaint.Best Regards,MidAtlantic Urgent Care, LLC
