I am writing you in response to a letter we received from you dated 3/2/from our customer *** *** that you assigned ID 11181390. *** *** and his girlfriend *** *** purchased a Chevrolet Trailblazer on January 9, The down payment required for this vehicle
was $and Mr*** and Ms*** decided to use a portion of Ms***’s Federal Income Tax Return and signed a legal promissory note to do so We as a dealership did Ms***’s taxes through a program designed for dealers called *** *** and she signed her tax refund over to us and we would cut her a check for anything over the $down payment owed On or about February 13th we were made aware that Ms***’s entire tax return was seized and contacted her about this matter and she yelled obscenities at the salesman and told him this was our fault and that she would call him back that she was out with her children at the time A few days later after the salesman made several attempts to contact Ms*** via phone and text message with no response so our General Manager *** *** left messages for both Ms*** and Mr*** Mr*** finally called back and explained that the tax return was seized and that he would like to make arrangements to pay the $1500, they agreed upon $per pay period to pay the $down payment Since this agreement was made in mid-February we have not heard from Ms*** or Mr*** and they will not return any of our calls or text messages We did leave them a message expressing that this is fraud and we need them to contact us immediately and they still have not responded. As for the repairs on the vehicle, they purchased a vehicle “As Is” without an extended warranty We did service this vehicle prior to delivery which included replacing the radiator, thermostat, transmission line, sway bar link and charging the air conditioner Then on February 8th when the customer brought the vehicle back we did a “good will repair” for $and replaced the front hub assembly and the rear seat belt assembly’s and gave the customer a rental vehicle to drive while we completed these repairs for them We have gone above and beyond for the customer to stand behind our name and our good customer service, but yet they have made not good faith attempt to make good on their missing down payment owed to us We are not trying to scare the customer with fraud, we are just trying to resolve the situation before it reaches a legal status.
