Review: Boiler stopped working on January **, 2014. I called Middle Village Plumbing Heating and Cooling. "[redacted]" showed up later that day and after examining the unit he determined the Thermo Coupling needed to be replaced. He changed out the part and charged me $350 for the work. The Boiler worked for 1 day before going out again so I called the company and they sent "[redacted]" back to my home on January **, 2014. This time after inspecting the unit he said that the Gas Control Valve needed to be replaced and that it would cost $500 for him to fix. I did not allow him to do the work as I had already paid for him to fix the unit which he had failed to do and I was suspicious of the cost of repairs. I called 3 other plumbers and the all quoted the initial job of changing the Thermo Coupling at approximately $150 NOT $350 as he had charged me. Furthermore, all the other plumbers quoted the Gas Control Valve work at approximately $225. Upset that I had been taken advantage of and that my Boiler was not properly fixed, I called the company on January **, 2014 to request a refund as they claim to have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. I was told I would receive a call back the next morning from the [redacted] but never did so I called back on January **, 2014 and was told that the [redacted] had my information and that I would receive a call later that day but again never did. I called a 3rd time later on January [redacted], 2014 and this time was told that I would receive a call back on Monday. Once again I was not called back as promised. As I have a infant at home and was without heat for several days, I was forced to call in another plumber to properly repair the unit.Desired Settlement: I would like for the $350 I paid to have the Thermo Coupling changed to be refunded as this was an unnecessary repair. The problem was misdiagnosed and the work done did not fix the problem. I am completely unsatisfied with the work and customer service I have received from Middle Village Plumbing Heating and Cooling.
