A blessed place to live
I have resided at the Sun Valley Suites (5503 Darling Dr) in Florham Park for three and a half years. I may need to move in a couple months, but not due to unhappiness. Quite the contrary, I feel I have lived like a prince. My unit is at the highest peak of the complex across the maintenance crew. It's clear they all love their jobs (I've gotten friendly with Santos, Julio, and Angel) and are happy to serve the residents. They have done small things for me (like a light bulb or a battery) that mattered a lot. The landscaping on the entire premises is beautiful. Colorful and well trimmed in every way. There is plenty of nice paths to walk, which I love to do. The lighting at night is great. It is a comfort to see a "security car" driving around or stationed when you pull in. I often see Florham Park Police drive through as well and even stay a while. Definitely is and feels safe! With a name like "Sun Valley" you'd expect to get a lot of sun, which I do! I have visited other complexes and found I cannot get nearly as nice accommodations (in such a nice setting) for the same rent. I have truly enjoyed getting to know some of my neighbors and expect one or two to be lifelong friendships wherever I go. To be balanced, we've had several power outages, but they last mostly 5-10 minutes with only a couple being for hours, but that's a town thing. In some spots, the sanitation area seems a bit fuller than should be, but generally the place is as clean as I'd think you could find. Finally, the management office has been friendly and accommodating when I've needed them (Ms. Olga main office and Viktor in the leasing office). If I do have to leave Sun (Sunny!) Valley, I will take fond and grateful memories with me.

Security Deposit
I have lived in 9217 Blue jay way Princeton Terrace community for around 3 years and vacated in Aug breaking my lease paying the break fee and rent until the apartment was rented out on Nov 10th.

The apartment was left thoroughly cleaned and I was shocked to see that $3080 was withheld against security deposit and $2995 was claimed as damages to carpets which has been disputed and the company has sent a release that states that they would refund $1581.47. I ask that they refund the full amount as they need to account for the normal wear and tear and cannot charge exorbitant charges as at most cleaning is few hundred bucks and customer cannot be exploited

Maintenance
I submitted 8 requests within the past 4 days for maintenance to come out and fix the sink in the kitchen and no one still has shown. Apparently the dishwasher is connected to the sink and whenever I use the dishwasher the sink gets flooded. I been using buckets to get the water down and I just moved in 2 weeks ago. What the hell is happening?

Tip of the Iceberg
Middlesex mgmt. enters your apartment anytime they want, to show to perspective renters, to use the bathroom, to make change. I walked in and found a guy drinking milk Right out of the Carton! Expect 50-150 intrusions/mo.

Corporate number for the legal department
I am looking for the number to corporate for the legal department, as I am looking to file a complaint against an employee. This employee is very insensitive and has a nasty disposition. I know my rights as a tenant. Therefore, I would like to speak with her boss. I have tried using google but to no avail. Can someone give me a number please and thank you?

Middlesex mgmt emails no longer available
Earlier it was possible to reach Middlesex mgmt on [email protected]

Worst Customer Service
I called Middlesex Management to inform time schedule for garbage pick up time, customer service representative told that they are not responsible for garbage pick up. Township is responsible for pickup. When I called township they told me that they are not picking up garbage for our apartment building at Traffalgar. I called again to inform Middlesex Mgmt and they were not listening and hung up the call. I don't know who is the responsible to pick up my garbage but Middlesex management was rude and not willing to solve my issues.

New tenant moved in on December 19, Mr [redacted] was credited back days rent for December 2015, the full month of January and his full security deposit minus $for damage charges Because the address we received on the notice to vacate form that the tenant submitted did not include the apartment #, the checks were returned to us on 2/ Once contacted by the tenant on 2/11, the check was immediately mailed back out to him the same day with the corrected address The refund was for the tenant’s security deposit and the overpayment of days of December rent

WE HAVE REVIEWED THE TENANT'S COMPLAINT AND HAVE SENT THE TENANT A RELEASE FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE ONE MONTH'S RENT UPON RECEIPT OF THE RELEASE FROM THE TENANT A CHECK WILL BE CUT AND MAILED FOR $

THIS TENANT RECEIVES RENTAL ASSISTANCE FROM SUPPORTATIVE HOUSING CONNECTION HIS CONTRACT IS UNDER ATTORNEY REVIEW

I am rejecting this response because: Dishwasher is still not fixed properly, as the soap dispenser does not dissolve the soap properly and keeps all utensils as isAlso the heating system in the unit was never changed neither fixedIt still has the problem with providing adequate heat during winter timeThe insulation of the apartment is also not at all livable condition
If they can fix it properly, I can accept it as resolve issue, till then the service is not doneNo offence, but just wanted to get worth of what we are paying

Spoke to tenant today and advised tenant that his personal check was mailed back to him and we did not receive it back. Advised tenant that money should be still in his account

The reason I am rejecting the business response is in there
1st response to my complaint they said that signs are posted on all buildingsThe pictures that I sent are in direct contradiction of thatI sent pictures that showed other building other than mine with no signsThe most recent pictures that you received shows the maintenance man posting signs up on October 30,
I received all your pictures what I would need now would be a explanation on why you are rejecting the business response, and reference what the pictures are

Tenant has lived in apartment for over one year. Tenant is aware that there is no parking in driveways. All buildings have signs posted. This building's sign was missing but mount is still attached to the building

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
- if there was a genuine issue and the management and property
manager were aware of it, why were we(who were still paying rent for the
apartment) and the prospective tenant not informed about it soonerwhy did it take them days to tell us what the problem wasas per your message if the problem was identified prior to 9/14/2016, why were we told several time that you did not know what the issue was till 10/20/2016. - we were not informed of the bedbugs issue till days after move out
numerous phone calls to middlesex management, property manager of
xchange apartment, the leasing office and the only response they gave
was that they had no idea what the problem was.- the prospective
tenant was ready to wait longer to move in if he was given sufficient
noticehowever, he was informed days before the move in date that he
could not move into the apartment for some unknown reason but was
offered another apartment for the same move in date in lieu.- in
one of the phone calls with middlesex management, they confirmed to us that our account was closed as another apartment was filled in lieu of our apartmentthe only was we found out that the account was not closed
and still open was when we called back asking why we did not receive
our move out letter after the account was closed.- we spent a
lot of time and effort trying to find other tenants for the apartment
during this time periodour family had to go through a lot of emotional
and financial stress not knowing what the issue was.- this is
very unprofessional and unethical behavior to withhold information they
had and conveniently relocate the prospective tenant to another
apartment.- also, we have proof that the apartment staff left the
front door unlocked for days after we vacatedthis could have left the
apartment to any kind of tampering by anyone
regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
I do not want to break my lease as of nowIf I need I will let Management knowI am not satisfied with the reply I got from managementIt is not at all complete true statement they have made about their servicesI have even answered the return calls, when the maintenance service request has been successfully completedBut very rare the services has been successfully completed
