Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I should have stated that the league was with Middleton United Soccer Club (and where the refund would come from) of which the president of the club and the owner of KEVA Sports Center are one in the sameMiddleton Soccer Club operates out of KEVA and is where all communication and payments were madeI have attached the owners response which shows KEVA in the signatureBelow Hi Craig,I met with the board and have reached a conclusion. The policy states Aug1st is our refund deadline. Anything after that the club does not provide refunds. This issue has come up in the past and we need to stick with our policy. Thanks and I hope your daughter is having a good fall season.take care,Eric ***Keva Sports Center***
Regards,

Hello- This complaint is false and Craig [redacted] has his businesses mixed up- he did not register his daughter with Keva Sports Center as he stated.  We have no record of this transaction that he is referring to- again he has the wrong business.   I know what business he is referring to...

but it is not KEVA Sports Center.  He did not register his daughter to play with us in the Fall because KEVA does not offer the program he is referring to- again we have no record because KEVA does not offer that program in the fall.

Middleton United has a policy in place that states both on our website as well as in our bylaws the following:*A refund request can be made to Middleton United up until August 1st (fall season) and up to April 1st (spring season.)  Any requests made after these dates will not be refunded.  For all applicable refunds, there will be a 15% administrative fee deducted. The [redacted]s are missing many key points:1. They accepted an offer to play with Middleton United for the 2016-2017 season2. On Monday June 27th, an initial email went out to the initial 22 families who had accepted a spot to play with our U14 team about two possibilities:  1) to stay with 1 team of 22 players or 2) go to 2 teams of 16 players with the 3 or 4 coaches (we have 4 coaches for those 2 teams.)  This was an email where we asked families for their input and the [redacted]s were included in this email.  They never stated their concerns about either option and decided to move forward with 2 teams of 16 players each, so a total of 32 players in this age group.3. On Tuesday June 28th, an email went out to the families to explain after all the feedback we received, there would be 2 teams of 16 players.  The [redacted]s were included on this email.  This option even extended the offer to 10 more players that would have been without a soccer team for the upcoming season.4. The June 28th email asked for a payment deadline of July 1st.5. On July 6th, the [redacted]s submitted an email to our club stating they needed more time to make the payment and would do so in the next pay period.  This has happened in years past, and the club has worked very well to offer an extended grace period for the [redacted]s when our club policy states the following for payment:*After accepting your offer, please pay your $185 registration fee within 48 hours. So from June 28th, to the July 6th email, there was more than 48 hours but again, in understanding the request has been made in year's past to wait for payment, the club understood and offered the family this grace period rather than give their daughter's spot away to another player who was cut from this team.6. At the end of July, an automated email was sent from our online registration system about the payment still not being made.7. On July 26th, the [redacted]s emailed stating they would make payment on the 27th due to the pay period and needing to wait for their next check.8. On August 1st, their payment was received by the club and submitted with our online registration system with the stipulation we did not cash the check until August 15th.  We held true to this request but officially had Fiona registered with the club.9.  On August 18th, the [redacted]s asked to withdraw from our program and requested a transfer to another program.10. On August 19th, the club responded that after August 1st we do not offer refunds but we will sign the transfer request.11. Per the policy put into place by our state governing body, WYSA (Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association):The intended new club and team must be identified to begin the transfer process. It is the discretion of the club who the player originally registered with to approve or deny the request for transfer. Upon receipt of the transfer request, the WYSA Executive Director will review the form and contact the requestor with any questions. If there are no questions, a letter is sent to the president of the club from which the player wishes to be released to ascertain the club’s allowance or objection to the transfer request. If there are no objections to the transfer, the player will be notified in writing by the State Association that the release has been granted and $75 of the transfer fee will be refunded. If the club objects, the requestor has the opportunity to appeal the club’s decision through a hearing with a player transfer review panel. (The State Association retains the entire $100 fee if an appeal is requested.)Rather than deny this transfer request, our club signed off to allow the [redacted]s to be released from our club to a new soccer club.  Our club director talked extensively with the new club.  The new club was happy that we allowed this transfer as they know after August 1st, most clubs don't allow transfers due to registrants in the system, rosters verified by WYSA, and player cards created for each player in your club.12. On September 6th, Middleton United submitted the official transfer request to WYSA.Middleton United has gone above and beyond to help the [redacted]s but have to follow policies laid out that 899 other families are asked to abide by.
