We were called to tow the jeep by *** we agreeded on a price of $so that alone proves that the shop was not supposed to pay *** was.the jeep was picked up and delivered to the repair shop and when I called *** for credit card payment over the phone his card was declined not once but twiceat
this point he did say "i will be down later tonight to square up on the bill." no one at the shop knew *** nor was he a return customer so this was the reason he was told to call us directly to set up for the towat this point I took the car back to our yard and waited for *** to pay and the jeep would have been delivered that night with no added or extra chargesThen wednight came all day Thursday nothing and not till Friday afternoon did *** contact us and at this point he was advised that he would be charged for the 2nd tow back to our shop and storage feesHe did come and pay the bill and at this point was when his true colors showed he used *** to tow his car off our property that he had purchased on craigslist and lied to *** cause it was unregistered not insured and had fictitious plates as well as flats no front bumper and didn't runIf needed we can supply you with pics of the truck, the plates, and copies of the credit card decline slipsand a letter from the repair shop stating he was to pay for the tow to the shopWe have also been advised by our lawyers to follow up with a lawsuitthank you, Midland

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:I was NEVER advised of anything that Midland said they advised me of. I NEVER called Midland Towing. The call to tow my Jeep came from [redacted] NOT from me. I was NEVER advised by anyone at Midland that my Jeep would be "impounded"! A reputable shop would have had the courtesy to notify the customer of any issues before they turned into a huge & unnecessary bill. A simple follow up phone call from Midland would have prevented this whole mess. Mark at Midland Towing was rude, abusive & obnoxious in the way he spoke to me & treated me. The same credit card he claims was declined twice was accepted when I arrived at his shop. Maybe he doesn't know how to use his credit card terminal. Or maybe it's just the way a deplorable human with vile business practices bilks money out of unsuspecting customers.As for the condition of the Jeep ... what role does that play in this matter? The Jeep was not drive-able & that is why it was being towed. My dealings with [redacted] are not in any way pertinent to this matter. If [redacted] covered the tow then everything must have been OK with them.I am including ALL records of correspondence with both Midland & Coast. Please show me when I called you before I found out from Coast that you had not taken my Jeep to their shop. As a matter of fact, can you even prove that the Jeep was in fact taken to their shop at all? I propose that you in fact took the Jeep straight to your "impound" lot & then waited like a snake in the grass to get paid! Al at Coast tried to reach out to you during the whole fiasco on the 28th to try & help resolve the matter before it got out of hand & you refused to take his calls. Regards,[redacted]
