Midlothian Kids Academy Reviews (1)

I am writing in response to the following case number
#[redacted]I sent to following email to both parents at 10:46 am on Wednesday May
10th 2017,Dear Mr. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted],First and foremost, I would like
to apologize for the way I handled the incident when you brought it to my
attention...

yesterday. There were a lot of discrepancies in the stories and I
should have requested from you the time to investigate fully and follow-up with
you. I have put a lot of thought into the how I can make a difference in a
positive way for [redacted] and his happiness and success here at MKA. With Ms. [redacted]’s school
schedule, she currently needs to leave here at 4:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays
and Thursdays. Up until now, when this has happened she takes the class into
500. The incident yesterday and the sand incident both happened when the
children were in a combined classroom. I am going to make a change that will
put Ms. [redacted] into 550 with the school agers so that they do not need to be
combined with another class.  I will ensure I am in full communication
with Ms. [redacted] and the school agers as to how this change is impacting them. Please let me know if there is
anything else I need to address.Sincerely, AHIn response to the case #
[redacted], which I received Monday May 15th 2017To whom it be concerned:I am sorry to hear the
concerns and the complaint from this family. I want to do what I am able in
order to come to a resolution where they have peace of mind knowing their child
and the other children is being supervised while here.  I apologize for not addressing the concerns
in a more professional manner.I am aware of the incident on
Tuesday May 9th. To my understanding from their child, the other
child involved and the teacher, as the children were in line to transition to
another room, there was pushing on both sides and their child was hit by the
other child. I am aware of sand being put
on their child’s head. This incident was dealt with by their child’s teacher.I am not aware of their child
being hit by another child, he did get bumped in the face with a ball that
another child had kicked while they were playing soccer. Is this what is being
referenced by a child hitting their child? (This incident was documented and
the documentation was given to the mother)I am not aware of their child
being dragged on the ground and pushed against a climbing wall. I have also spoken with the
Teacher. She is aware of the same incidents that I am. I would like a meeting with
the parents and the teacher in order to apologize in person and to talk about
communication, goals, expectations. Sincerely,Anne H[redacted]Director[redacted]Midlothian Kids Academy[redacted] ParkwayMidlothian VA [redacted]
