Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted],  we love for them to turn in the video I ask for them to replay the video for me . I have gone to the attorney general and they have referred me  to the insurance fraud dept. I must send in a written letter to them. I have spoke to attorneys about this and they have said I have the right to purchase insurance with whomever I feel if its a used car. the threats they are talking about was me calling the cops if they were being honest why not bring in law enforcement I guess they didn't want a police report. I want [redacted] to respond not this lady who was on the phone with a customer. I did say I was going to pick up my van cause I did not trust him putting some kind of a dirty lean on it. I have spoke with the insurance fraud dept. and they said even if I ordered the policy which I or (we) didn't I have the right under state law to refuse deny change and pick whom I choose. my insurance agent has said the practice is illegal. I want this stopped, how many other customers has he does this to? I don't want to get anyone in trouble but one of his own employees told me what he was doing was wrong. now as for insults in never cursed I did raise my voice cause he was insulting my intelligence and calling my wife a liar. now my deal is this can anyone order insurance in my name and I will be responsible? I have signed papers I have an agreement to maintain insurance I signed the paper and the insurance agent is left blank. I know he did not want to do business with me because I asked questions and I caught on to his scheme. I want this to stop. how many other people has he done this to? single moms, foreigner's, young couples, old folks, or just desperate people. In the state of texas you may cancel an insurance policy. I feel this is all he had to do but by not doing this it leads me to believe he had bad intentions. on  a side note I was able to cancel the insurance I had just purchased 30 minutes earlier and im getting my refund fri. wow that was easy! [redacted] said he couldn't do the same in his words, "now I got to pay it myself".

On 11/6/14 Mrs. [redacted] called [redacted], our finance specialist, stating that their van had broken sown and they needed help with another vehicle. She said the vehicle was stranded on the street, and they had no way to get it to Midtown Motor Company. [redacted] offered to pick it up for them and...

store it at Midtown until Saturday, 11/8/14 because that was the day there were going to be able to come in and look at our inventory. Various appointments were made and missed, so the customers did not show until Saturday 11/22/14 in the morning with the remaining paperwork. After finishing the approval process, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] were presented with the terms of financing. After they agreed to it, [redacted] asked them for insurance. They asked how long they had toa get it and [redacted] told them it was Midtown policy to have insurance before they drove off the lot. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] said their insurance company was closed, so [redacted] asked for the name and number for the company but Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] could not remember it. [redacted] told them about their options for insurance, letting them know of the insurance companies that were close to the dealership as well as a phone quote from a vendor that Midtown Motor Company uses frequently. Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] asked for the quote, and a quote of $152.00 for the first month was given. Mrs. [redacted] then said she would have to call her ride back because they had the money at home and they would have to go and get it. When [redacted] asked Mrs. [redacted] if she wanted to order the policy, she said she would have to talk to Mr. [redacted], who at the time was outside looking at the vehicle they had just purchased. Mrs. [redacted] came back into the office and said to go ahead and order the policy. They had called their ride and were going to get the money. After approximately 1 hour Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] came back to Midtown Motor Company and [redacted] went to the front office to give them their insurance policy and collect on the money. Mrs. [redacted] said she had purchased insurance with their usual agent. [redacted] then told her she had already ordered a policy. She said she knew she did and was sorry she had not called. She said they had passed by their insurance company and it was still open so they decided to get it there. [redacted] told them that they would have to pay for the policy they had already ordered because it was processed and because they had already agreed to it. At that time Mr. [redacted] raised his voice and said he did not sign or agree to anything, asking how it was possible for him to have insurance if he did not sign anything. [redacted] again told Mr. [redacted] that Mrs. [redacted] had agreed to the policy. She said she was sorry she did not call to let [redacted] know she was going to get it somewhere else. At that point Mr. [redacted] raised his voice more and started insulting [redacted] accusing him of fraud. Mr. [redacted] kept saying he did not agree to but the policy, but since all the dealing had been done with Mrs. [redacted] she agreed to buy the policy. Mr. [redacted] then said he did not like how business was handled and he was not happy. He was still accusing [redacted] of making the decision on his own to order the policy. Mr. [redacted] then threatened to call the policy and at that point [redacted] decided that Midtown Motor Company did not want to do business with Mr. [redacted] due to the lack of respect for the staff and because of his threats. [redacted] then asked [redacted] (CSR), to get the keys for the deposit box where Mr. [redacted]'s deposit was dropped and give him his money and title for trade back. Mr. [redacted] at that point continued to insult [redacted] told Mr. [redacted] he would have 10 days to get his vehicle, and Mr. [redacted] said he would get it the same day because he did not want "something bad" to happen. [redacted] told him the vehicle was safe and that nothing would happen to his vehicle, but Mr. [redacted] said "something bad would happen if I don't get it today". The decision to end business with Mr. [redacted] was because of his threatening attitude and lack of respect for the Midtown Motor Company staff. We do have camera footage and would be more than happy to supple the video of the incident if necessary.

Regards,
[redacted]                   The issue is not that I was told we had to purchase insurance through them the issue is I was being pressured to pay for insurance [redacted] purchased without my permission. Once again [redacted] would not let me drive my vehicle without me paying for insurance he purchased without my consent. I said I was going to call police because he had my trade and my $200.00 and would not let me take the vehicle and yes I had insurance (my agent) after the threat he quickly refunded my money and title. I guess the police threat got me out of a bad situation.  I have received a copy of the insurance [redacted] purchased in the mail just the other day. The Texas department of Insurance fraud asked me to send them a copy if you need one I will gladly send you one as well. The Texas Department of insurance fraud said that was great proof something was done and has asked my to send it in along with my complaint. I also feel this whole thing that its best for us not to do business don't act your the victim I am. I wasted all this time back and fourth only to be blindsided by their SCHEME maybe they never had someone like me not give up. While I understand they have been in business for 22 years how many people just put their hands in the air and said I'm giving up or I'm not going to report them.
