Dear Mr [redacted] , Your car was brought to Midtown Tire and Auto as a no start situation (Stopped Running) issue Vehicle as dropped off with the knowledge we were several weeks behind and would get to it in several weeks After being told this information, he dropped off vehicle Once we towed vehicle inside shop, it was noted a side window broken and battery was missing We then called to notify him before we can do any further diagnostics, we need to install a battery then determine why we have a no start issue He came up and dropped off a deposit so we could then install a battery and diagnose the no start issue several codes (15) codes we found in the computer sending us in many directions One component stood out as the real issue why we had a crank no start we called and gained approval of the throttle position sensor Once this sensor was replaced, we let the vehicle run and was test driven several times before releasing vehicle to customerHis bill was for these repairs I personally talked to the customer and told him since vehicle has not been driven and has been sitting awhile, our goal is for him to drive the vehicle a few days then we can readdress any codes that may return We also informed him that the turbo charger belt is very noisy as the customer also noted the belt was loud...squeeling on acceleration Several days later, customer called to say vehicle will crank but not start Midtown paid the tow bill of to tow vehicle to us I personally looked at this vehicle and spent approxhours trying to determine why it cranks but wont start In the end I found shorted injector wiring I personally called customer to tell him I found an additional issue to the vehicle and I would not charge to diagnose this issue, nor would charge for any parts, but would charge hours labor in which he verbally approved In fact he later called but to ask us to replace the squeeling supercharger belt The belt was actually missing some grooves to it I personally heat schrinked all the bare wiring at the intake assy Finding this intermintant issue was a challenge due to its location I am a l-mastertech technician who has over years experience and this repair was difficult for me to find as well as repair His total charges for this repair as well as replacement of belt is 314.70...This wiring issue was not in any way our fault but just a vehicle with 274,that has several issues, and the bare wiring was not a visual issue that could be found quickly I felt I have gone out of my way to make this customer happy, as well as pay a tow bill that we should not be responsible Midtown Tire and Auto does not feel the customer is due any refund at all, and if their are any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me anytime Thanks, [redacted] ( Manager) [redacted]

Midtown received this vehicle on March 16th by [redacted] and a male companion.   They both filled us in on the issues this vehicle is having.  It was recently repaired by a shop in Baden and had extensive repairs performed by a shop but once done customer was unable to...

safely drive vehicle.  The wheels were not pointing in a  straight direction.  We then have a signed work order for a 54.50 for a front end check out...  Once this was completed on 3/19/17. I personally called the customer and left word to call us regarding the vehicle.   On Tuesday, the male companion who dropped off vehicle with her arrived to find out what the checkout showed.  We then told him what parts are good, what parts are bad, and also that since this vehicle height was been altered as high  it could be it will never have good suspension until vehicle is again lowered back down to  a normal truck.  we do have the discussion on video and audio and the customer told us to align as best as possible and get all the wheels pointing in a straight direction. This is a verbal agreement to do the alignment and the total [redacted] will be approx. 182.00 total including physical checkout of front end.  He approved this repair and we performed it that afternoon. The alignment was very off due to a unprofessional shop attempting to put front end parts onto the vehicle. It required much more time than a regular alignment and we knew that going into the alignment. Customer again called wed morning and she picked up vehicle wed afternoon.      Midtown tire and Auto did the contracted repairs as requested do therefore decline any refund of contracted repairs.  If there are any other questions regarding this matter, feel free to call Midtown Tire and Auto regarding this matter. Thanks, [redacted]- Manager

Dear Mr. [redacted], Your car was brought to Midtown Tire and Auto as a no start situation (Stopped Running) issue.  Vehicle as dropped off with the knowledge we were several weeks behind and would get to it in several weeks.  After being told this information, he dropped off...

vehicle.  Once we towed vehicle  inside shop, it was noted a side window broken and battery was missing.  We then called to notify him before we can do any further diagnostics, we need to install a battery then  determine why we have a no start issue.  He came up and dropped off a 300.00 deposit so we could then install a battery and diagnose the no start issue.   several codes (15) codes we found in the computer sending us in many directions.  One component stood out as the real issue why we had a crank no start.  we called and gained approval of the throttle position sensor.      Once this sensor was replaced, we let the vehicle run and was test driven several times before releasing vehicle to customer. His bill was 667.28 for these repairs.   I personally talked to the customer and told him since vehicle has not been driven and has been sitting awhile, our goal is for him to drive the vehicle a few days then we can readdress any codes that may return.  We also informed him that the  turbo charger belt is very noisy as the customer also noted the belt was loud...squeeling on acceleration.     Several days later, customer called to say vehicle will crank but not start.  Midtown paid the tow bill of 85.00 to tow vehicle to us.  I personally looked at this vehicle and spent approx. 7 hours trying to determine why it cranks but wont start.  In the end I found shorted injector wiring.  I personally called customer to tell him I found an additional  issue to the vehicle  and I would not charge to diagnose this issue, nor would charge for any parts, but would charge 2 hours labor in which he verbally approved.   In fact he later called but to  ask us to replace the squeeling supercharger belt.  The belt was actually missing some grooves to it.  I personally heat schrinked all the bare wiring at the intake assy.  Finding this intermintant issue was a challenge due to its location.  I am  a l-1 mastertech technician who has over 30 years experience and this repair was difficult for me to  find as well as repair.     His total charges for this repair  as well as replacement of belt is 314.70...This wiring issue  was not in any way our fault but just a vehicle with 274,000 that has several issues, and the bare wiring was not a visual issue that could be found quickly.  I felt I have  gone out of my way to make this customer happy, as well as  pay a tow bill that we should not be responsible.   Midtown Tire and Auto does not feel the customer is due any refund at all, and if their are any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me anytime.   Thanks, [redacted] ( Manager)  [redacted]
