Review: Midview Studios photographed our wedding on September 21, 2013. It is nearly two years later and after dozens and dozens of unreturned calls and emails, we still have not received our wedding video in its entirety or the wedding album we PAID for. I was able to get in touch with [redacted] and [redacted] (the owners) at first and they promised our video would be in the mail that evening (we were told this at least twice). It never was put in the mail and [redacted] and [redacted] dropped off the face of the earth. No contact. Their phone numbers, both personal and business, have been changed. I just saw recently that they are still shooting weddings and I find this simply appalling considering we are not the only people they have done something like this to. They are running a huge scam and getting away with it. Their lack of professionalism is incredible and they should not be allowed to conduct business until they respond and refund the dozens of people they have done this to.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for both the video and photo album we never received.

Review: [redacted] and [redacted], owner operators of Midview Studio's, were hired to take our wedding photographs on July 19, 2014. They did not handle the electronic files in a safe manner, and all of our photo's were lost. They claim to have sent the computer hard drives to specialist to recover them, but have not been successful. On 9/2/14 they notified us that the pictures were lost, and offered a full refund of $2,300. Since then there have been a few emails back and forth discussing next steps to recover photo's and money. They were able to recover a few of the candid photo's, however still ensured me that there would be a refund. They also offered to retake any photo's that we would like. On 11/18/14 I signed a release from liability form provided they sent a refund check. It is no 12/4/14 and I have not received a check. They are also not answering the two phone numbers that I have for them, Email, Facebook (both personal and professional pages), or Twitter.Desired Settlement: At this point I would only like to receive my refund. I am not able to hire anyone else to take the photo's without it. I would like to get something for my wife from our wedding day.

Please consider this a formal claim against Midview Studios of Sonora, California.

Enclosed, please find copy of the contract we signed with them for the video taping of my daughter's wedding, [redacted], which took place on June 6, 2014.

They have failed to perform under the contract in the turnaround time for delivery of the final product.

My daughter especially, and myself, have contacted Midview Studios countless times, through various means with little to no success.

In one of the few times that my daughter was able to talk to them they indicated that they were having some personal problems and that the end product would be forthcoming shortly.

Nothing happened. We resumed our contacting with no success this time also. Finally, after our continuing efforts to contact them, one day, they indicated that the product was being mail, which was not true. We have never received anything from them.

When we try calling, the call goes directly to voice mail. Any messages or requests for a response go unanswered.Desired Settlement: They were paid in full for their services in accordance to their terms. We did our part. All we want is for them to do their part.

We respectfully request that you provide us any help available in bringing this matter to a happy ending for all parties.

We have been extremely generously patient. I hope that Midview Studios, with your help will react as they should in order to avoid other remedies that are available to us.

Review: I paid Midview Studios $2100 in full to film my November wedding. After I paid them, communication was extremely sporadic. Phone calls, emails and text messages were ignored. Calls to Midview went directly to voicemail, which leads me to believe that I was blocked from calling them. Less than two weeks from my 11/15/14 wedding, I was uncertain that they would even show up due to the lack of professionalism, customer service and lack of responses to my calls/emails/texts/requests to[redacted]. We finally got a hold of [redacted] 10 days before the wedding after threatening to cancel with them them and he said the lack of communication was an oversight on him and his wife. He gave a bunch of excuses. This is highly unprofessional and not what we paid $2100 for. We told him that we no longer wanted him to film our wedding and he offered to refund us our $2100 back within 30 days verbally. We then received an email confirming the refund from [redacted] that we would receive a cashier's check of $2100 to be received by December 5, 2014. We didn't receive any communication from [redacted] nor his wife, [redacted], and we did not receive the check. After we contacted Midview repeatedly after 12/5/14, [redacted] said that he didn't have the money but will pay us $500 a month. He told us this in January and February. To date, we have received nothing. Our calls are still blocked and text messages and emails have not been returned. Midview is MIA and still has our $2100. We canceled on them becaues we could not trust that they would even show up to our wedding, since they didn't even answer our calls or reply to emails. Dealing with them as been a nightmare. The biggest day of my life has been tainted with dealing with this company. They took our money and didn't deliver on the services and did not keep their word regarding our refund. We just want our money back so we can move forward with our lives. They cannot be trusted.
