To whom It May concern:My Response to the complaint ID [redacted], from [redacted] dated July 18,2017. First off, yes I do own my own garage George ' s Midway Auto, not Midway Auto ,INC, but this was a private sale of my own personal car,had my home address on title. we don't...

sell cars at the garage,we only do automotive repairs and services. She purchased the car on or around March 20,2017, AS IS,may need repairs, No returns or guarantees, as stated on her Bill of sales, that she submitted to DMV . we explained that we purchased the car and at the time had 7 vehicles and we didn't really know allot about it. we had only driven it a few times. she brought a man named [redacted] (her father) and a another young lady with her(her son's wife),that was who she buying the car for. The young girl drove the car around the parking lot and checked it all out . At that point they checked it all over, had the car running for more then 20 minutes, drove it checked out the transmission, came in and said she wanted the car , that they would be back the next day with the money and get insurance on it and register it at DMV . came back from DMV and put plates on it and drove away. [redacted]'s father) called to actually set up an appointment to have a transmission screen done on his car, which was about two weeks later,he stated to me and claudia (my finance) ,that the girl (son's wife) loved the car and was drivi ng it al l over the place,loved how I t ran and handled. I reminded him to check the fluids. Never anything from [redacted]. Then he called back and spoke with me abouL noL having fluids in the transmission, said it was 4 1/2 quarts low,the car would never had moved, it onlytakes 4 1/2 quarts and it I s automatic, so it would not move,and I told him to check for any leaks. I had put in [redacted] (transmission treatment) and the transmission flu I d. At which time I asked about the car,if everything was ok with it,this was three weeks later ,from t he purchase . Had no problems with it,it was a great car. Then about a week or week in a half later , [redacted] again called, not [redacted], and said the car was not running good,that she had to have the car towed and the tow truck driver said that there was antifreeze in the air filter. He said he was very upset and wanted his money back. At that time I told [redacted] that there was no refundslthis was well over a month they had been driving it. I told them to get the car up to me and I would check it over and see what I could do,he was supposed to have it here on the next  wednesday , never seen or heard from them again. once again "[redacted]" never spoke with me about the car and she was the one who purchased the car, not [redacted], shouldn't she have been calling me and speaking to me about the 2002 chevy Impala? I offered to look at the car and see what I could do, they never brought it here, so how was I supposed to try to fix anything? I did not know that the car had any problems, as I stated to them and in the bi l l of sal e that it was AS IS, May need Repairs, No returns ,or guarantees, which she signed with me, copy sent with this letter. I think I was up f ront about my knowledge about the car and even offered to look at it to see if I could fix it. Plus she said I n the complaint, that her mechanic said I sold her a "non working motor", how I s that even possible, she was driving it. I would like to have astatement from her mechanic. I am not out to take advantage of anyone, if I did that I won't have a business or a conscience. I feel that the car was run without checking fluids and watching gauges, it had to have red lined, which means the temperature gauges would have went up and they should have turned off the car.
